1 My Digital Downloader Instruction Guide *WINDOWS* My Digital Downloader is a desktop application to help you manage the download of your audio content. Without My Digital Downloader, when you download an audiobook, you have to unpack zip files, find suitable locations to store your content and manage your audio files yourself. With My Digital Downloader, the application takes care of all this for you, as well as giving you a nicely presented library in which to hold your collection of audio content. This guide will show you how to download, and utilise the application. Downloading My Digital Downloader (For Windows) Before My Digital Downloader starts managing your downloads, you must first download the application. Step 1.) Click on the link that has been provided to you by the retail site you purchased your audiobook from. This will direct you to where you can download the app. Step 2.) You will be presented with the below options: Option 1 Have you already downloaded the My Digital Downloader desktop app? WINDOWS or MAC

2 Option 2 If you have already downloaded the app, please proceed to download your purchase. DOWNLOAD TO APP OR DOWNLOAD TO DESKTOP. Select Option 1, this will start the application download process. Click FOR WINDOWS Step 3.) You will then see the below screen, read the terms, then Accept and Install the software by clicking on Accept and Install in the right hand corner You will then be presented with the following screen: Click run and the software will install on your machine in a few minutes time, and you will get the My Digital Downloader logo appear on your desktop. You are then ready, to begin downloading your audiobooks using the application.

3 Using My Digital Downloader Now that you have successfully downloaded My Digital Downloader, it is now time to use it. Step 1.) First you will need to click again, on the link which you were supplied by the retailer you purchased your audiobook from. You will be directed to the same page as when you downloaded the application. Step 2.) You will be presented with the same two options: Option 1 Have you already downloaded the My Digital Downloader desktop app? WINDOWS or MAC Option 2 If you have already downloaded the app, please proceed to download your purchase. DOWNLOAD TO APP OR DOWNLOAD TO DESKTOP. Click on option 2, DOWNLOAD TO APP this will initiate the download process of your audiobook. The DOWNLOAD TO DESKTOP option is there for people who do not want to use the My Digital Downloader application.

4 In some internet browsers, you will then be presented with the above dialogue box, or something similar. If this happens, you should click on Launch Application. Step 3.) You will then see the below screen, where you will be asked to choose where on your computer your audio content will be saved. If you have no preference, just allow the application to use the default folder which it will select automatically. Once you have decided on a folder, (default or not) click on Select Folder.

5 Step 3.) Then the My Digital Downloader application will launch, and your audiobook will start to download, chapter by chapter as can be seen in the image below: As can be seen in the image, the progress of the download is represented by a percentage. The file size is also shown. Step 4.) When you have successfully downloaded all of the chapters of the audiobook, the screen will display as below:

6 If you click on the cover image of your audiobook, you will see the below screen. In this view, you can see the individual chapters as well as the short description of the audiobook. Step 5.) Now, that we can see the audiobook has been successfully downloaded. To listen to the audiobook, simply click on OPEN FOLDER and the files will open up into the folder that they have been downloaded to as below:

7 Step 6.) Double click on the first chapter of your audiobook, which will then open in the default media player you have selected on your machine. See below example, of Windows Media Player being used in Windows 7:

8 Transferring your audiobooks from your PC, to alternate devices Windows to Android Step 1.) Using a USB cable, plug your Android device into your PC (If you are using a mobile phone, ensure that you select Connect as Media Device on your phone. Step 2.) Go to My Computer, and locate the Android device that you have connected. In the below example, the phone is beneath Portable Devices listed as Galaxy s6 Step 3.) From my Digital Downloader, select OPEN FOLDER on your audiobook of choice.

9 Step 4.) You will then be directed to the folder in which the audiobook files are saved. Once you have clicked OPEN in the above screen, you will then be directed to below: Step 5.) You can either drag-and-drop the files to your device, or you can copy and paste them from the folder they are in, to the Android device you have connected. In the below example, we will copy and paste 5.1) Click on the first file, then hold the Shift key, while pressing the down arrow key, until all of the files are highlighted and selected as below:

10 5.2) Then, click on the files using the mouse button which is on the right hand side. (right click) which will bring up a selection of options, from which you must select (left click) Copy 5.3) You must then go to your computer, and locate the android device which you have plugged into your USB. 5.4) Click on the device with the left mouse button to highlight it, then right click to bring up a small drop down menu - from this menu, select paste.

11 5.5) You will then see something such as below, while the files are copied from your computer, to your device. 6.) Once this dialogue box has disappeared, this means that the transfer is complete. You can then unplug your Android device and you will be ready to enjoy your audiook.

12 Windows to IOS Step 1.) Go online and head to Apple s website, and download the latest version of itunes. Follow the steps provided and install it onto your PC. Step 2.) Once you have downloaded itunes, plug in your Apple device, and open itunes. Step 3.) Plug your apple device into your machine using a USB cable. Step 4.) When in itunes, click on file in the top left hand corner of the screen, and from the drop-down menu that appears, click on add file to library.

13 Step 5.) You will be then re-directed to a window in which you must select the folder you have the audiobook saved in, as below. Once you have located the folder, highlight it, and then click, Select Folder in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, the audiobook files will then be added to your itunes library. Step 6.) Then go to your music library where the songs will be located. Click on the first file, then hold the Shift key, while pressing the down arrow key, until all of the files that you wish to transfer to your device are highlighted and selected as below:

14 Step 7.) Then, click on the selected files and drag and drop them over to your device, the files will then load to your Apple Device.
