1 Befre the installatin and cnfiguratin f the required prcessing hardware, McAllister Payment Slutins (MPS), and AVImark, the McAllister Payment Slutins PA-DSS Implementatin Guide must be reviewed in its entirety and referenced during the installatin and cnfiguratin. Prcessing Hardware Cnfiguratin Verifne MX850 All-In-One Device: Befre cnnecting the MX850 t yur PC, the MX850 Driver CD will need t be installed. NOTE: The driver prvided by Verifne fr this device is currently nly apprpriate fr Windws 7, 32-bit and will nt install prperly n a 64- bit versin. Insert the CD int yur CD-drive, and wait fr the WinZip Self- Extractr windw t aut-prmpt. Select Unzip t extract the driver Once the driver is extracted, cnnect the MX850 t a USB prt. As sn as the device is cnnected, Windws will autmatically detect the device and driver and perfrm the installatin. Shuld Windws nt successfully perfrm the driver installatin, lcate the driver within yur C-drive and execute it by dubleclicking it. 2 Once the device is installed, the crrespnding COM prt will need t be btained. Select the Start buttn Cntrl Panel r Start buttn Settings Cntrl Panel. Duble-click n the System ptin within the Cntrl Panel Select the Hardware tab, then the Device Manager buttn Within the Device Manager windw, expand the plus sign (+) next t the Prts (COM and LPT) ptin and nte the COM number listed beside the Cmmunicatins Prt ptin. Keep the COM prt that is listed fr MX800 Family POS Terminal fr use later in these instructins. NOTE: If using a 32-bit versin f Windws 7 and the driver des nt initially install prperly, fllw the steps listed belw t temprality disable the User Accunt Cntrl (UAC). Select the Start buttn Cntrl Panel User Accunts r Start buttn Settings Cntrl Panel User Accunts. Frm within the User Accunts, select the link Change User Accunt Cntrl Settings. 3 Repeat the driver installatin instructins listed abve and again restart Windws. Magtek Card Swipe: The card swipe has a USB cnnectin that will need t be cnnected t the AVImark server r wrkstatin which will be prcessing credit card payments. Cnnecting this device t a USB cnnectin will display a brief RED light then immediately change t GREEN. Once the green light is displayed, the installatin is cmplete. Verifne PINPad 1000SE: This device is available with a Serial r USB cnnectin that will need t be cnnected t the AVImark server r wrkstatin which will be prcessing credit card payments. NOTE: The USB Verifne PINPad 1000SE is currently nly available with the use f Windws Vista. This device will nt currently functin with Windws 2000 r XP. If using a USB PINPad: Insert the CD int yur CD-drive, and wait fr the WinZip Self-Extractr windw t aut-prmpt. Select Unzip t extract the driver Once the driver is extracted, cnnect the 4 pin phne handset end f yur USB cable int the crrespnding cnnectr n the VeriFne device. Plug the USB end f the cable int an available USB prt n the cmputer. In a few mments, the PINPad shuld be detected. Windws will then present yu with the Fund New Hardware Wizard. 4 Check the radi buttn indicating that yu want t Install frm a list r specific lcatin and click NEXT. Check the radi buttn indicating Dn t search. I will chse the driver and click NEXT. Click the Have Disk buttn and Brwse t the lcatin where yu placed the.inf file extracted frm the.zip in the sectin abve. Select the file verifne_pp1000se usb-uart.inf t OPEN then click OK. At this pint yu may get warnings that This driver is nt digitally signed and/r has nt passed Windws Lg testing. Just ignre it and click NEXT and Cntinue Anyway. Finally, click Finish and yur driver shuld nw be installed and functinal. Once yu have installed the driver, the crrespnding COM prt will need t be btained. 5 Within the Device Manager windw, expand the plus sign (+) next t the Prts (COM and LPT) ptin and nte the COM number listed beside the Cmmunicatins Prt ptin. Keep the COM prt that is listed fr PP1000SE PCI PIN Pad fr use later in these instructins. If using a Serial PINPad Cnnect the Serial cnnectr f the PINPad cable int the serial prt n the apprpriate cmputer. Cnnect the phne handset end f yur serial cable int the crrespnding cnnectr n the VeriFne device. Plug the pwer supply crd int the scket at the base f the serial cnnectr. 6 Plug the pwer supply int an AC wall utlet. Once yu have the PINPad cnnected t the cmputer, the crrespnding COM prt will need t be btained. Tpaz Signature Capture Devices All Mdels: All mdels f the Tpaz devices must first have the included Tpaz Systems INC CD installed. Inserting the CD will aut-display an install menu: NOTE: This CD will nly need t be installed n the AVImark cmputers that will be used t prcess credit cards thrugh AVImark. Selecting the ptin Install SigPlus esignatures (must be installed first) will begin the installatin. Fllw all n-screens prmpts t the display indicating yu must chse the Tpaz device yu have received. 8 Please select ne f the three ptins listed belw and prceed: Siglite 1x5 (T-S460 r T-S461) Siglite LCD 1x5 (T-L460) SignatureGem LCD 1x5 (T-L462) Once yu have selected the apprpriate device, the apprpriate type f cnnectin will need t be selected. 9 AVImark Setup Once yur MPS accunt has been apprved and pened, the MPS feature will need t be activated frm within AVImark. Lg int AVImark using an Administratr passwrd (access t security ptin System-wide Authrity) Select the Advanced Optins tl bar buttn and search fr Prcess Credit. This will display the ptin Prcess Credit Transactin Using which will need t be set t MPS. Frm the AVImark CID, press and hld the Ctrl and Shift keys while selecting the Utilities menu ptin. A Setup MPS ptin will be displayed at the very bttm f the Utilities menu. Select this Setup MPS ptin t display the MPS Lgin windw. Frm the MPS Lgin windw, the fllwing infrmatin is required: Username: Require a minimum f at least six characters Passwrd: Accrding t the PCI-DSS security standards Require a minimum length f at least eight characters Require bth numeric and alphabetic characters Require a new passwrd that is nt the same as any f the last fur passwrds used This address will be used t send a temprary MPS passwrd t shuld yur MPS username and/r passwrd ever be lst r frgtten. Security Questin and Yur Answer: This questin and answer will be used as a security measure shuld the MPS username and/r passwrd ever be lst r frgtten, and a temprary passwrd is needed. 10 required t supply the crrect answer t the security questin. The Setup infrmatin will be required in rder fr a temprary MPS passwrd t be sent shuld the MPS username and/r passwrd ever be lst r frgtten. SMTP Server: SMTP Prt: Username: This username will nly be needed if the SMTP server requires a user t lgin befre can be sent. Passwrd: This passwrd will nly be needed if the SMTP server requires a user t lgin befre can be sent. Selecting OK n the MPS Lgin windw will save the MPS settings and display a message indicating: MPS is nw setup. Please restart AVImark fr changed t take effect. When restarting AVImark, a user-lgin (administratr r nnadministratr) must be used befre the installatin f MPS will be cmpleted. Once AVImark is restarted, yu are ready t prceed t the MPS Setup instructins listed belw. If using a Dym Labelwriter t print credit card signature slips, the fllwing setup will need t be accmplished nce the printer is installed and able t print a test page thrugh Windws. 11 Within the Prperties windw, selecting the Printing Preferences buttn the Paper/Quality tab Advanced buttn, will allw yu t select the Cntinuus, Wide paper size. Within AVImark, using the Optin Maintenance tl bar buttn, search fr Signature. 12 Accessing the AVImark Printer Setup thrugh the Utilities menu ptin, select the apprpriate Dym printer within the Receipt printer. The Quality f this printer will need t remain Letter Quality. If using a Tpaz signature capture device t digitally capture and retain yur credit card authrizatins, the fllwing setup will be required nce the installatin f the Tpaz device as mentined earlier in these instructins is cmplete: Within AVImark, using the Optin Maintenance tl bar buttn, search fr Tpaz. Set the lcated ptin Enable the Tpaz Signature Capture Device t TRUE. MPS Setup Once the MPS feature has been activated within AVImark and AVImark has been rebted and lgged int as mentined abve, a new icn will be displayed within yur system tray. Duble-clicking n this icn will display the MPS windw. As sn as yur MPS accunt is apprved, yu will receive an t the address prvided n yur Merchant Applicatin which will prvide access t required infrmatin specific t yur clinic. This will cntain yur user name (Merchant ID) and a temprary passwrd. 13 The abve accunt infrmatin will be inserted int MPS.EXE by accessing the Optins buttn. Selecting the Optins buttn will require the user t enter their MPS username and passwrd which was specified earlier within the AVImark setup instructins. The Acceptr ID, Accunt ID, and Accunt Tken infrmatin must be taken frm the abve mentin website and cpied int the crrespnding MPS.EXE fields listed in the Optins windw. Additinal ptins that will be used during the setup f MPS: Enable AVS Authrizatin: This ptin is used when a credit card is nt present and must be hand-keyed. It enables the client s street number and zip cde t be entered as added security and t lwer the risk f fraud. 14 Attempt Dialup If Needed: This ptin is checked when a dial-up internet cnnectin is wished t be used as an autmatic backup t a failed bradband cnnectin. Selecting this ptin will display a cnfirmatin message at the time f prcessing if an internet cnnectin cannt be lcated. NOTE: Is this ptin is checked, the infrmatin included n the Dialup tab will be required. On Accunt Type Mismatch: Select the desired respnse when a swiped r hand-keyed card type des nt match the selected card type. 15 Since the prcessing hardware is wrkstatin specific, the prcessing hardware which will be used n each AVImark wrkstatin will be required t be selected n each individual wrkstatin. PIN Pad: Verifne MX850: Selecting this device fr the PIN Pad ptin will aut-select it fr the Signature and Card Swipe ptins. Select the Settings buttn and specify the apprpriate COM prt which was lcated earlier in these instructins. All ther values can be left as default. Verifne PIN Pad: Select the Settings buttn and specify the COM prt which was lcated earlier in these instructins. Signature: Verifne MX850: Selecting this device fr the Signature ptin will aut-select it fr the PIN Pad and Card Swipe ptins. Select the Settings buttn and specify the apprpriate COM prt which was lcated earlier in these instructins. All ther values can be left as default. 16 Verifne MX850: Selecting this device fr the Card Swipe ptin will aut-select it fr the PIN Pad and Signature ptins. Select the Settings buttn and specify the apprpriate COM prt which was lcated earlier in these instructins. All ther values can be left as default. Magtek Card Swipe: Selecting this device will nt require any settings t be specified. Frm within the MPS Optins windw, the Edit Lgin buttn can be used t access the required MPS infrmatin specified during activatin f MPS. If the MPS username and/r passwrd are ever lst r frgtten, cntact the AVImark Technical Supprt fr assistance with resetting these pieces f infrmatin. If yu are using the AVImark Site feature, each site can be setup within MPS t prcess credit cards t a unique merchant ID keeping all f yur credit card transactins separate fr each site. T setup the AVImark site feature t prcess using unique merchant IDs, with AVImark pen, duble-click the MPS icn displayed in yur system tray. Selecting the Site menu ptin will display all sites that are currently setup in AVImark. 17 pen the Optins windw using the Optins buttn t specify the apprpriate Acceptr ID, Accunt ID, and Accunt Tken fr this site. All ptins available within the General and Dialup tabs will be specific t the selected site. The infrmatin selected within the Devices tab will be wrkstatin specific rather then site specific. Once all ptins have been set fr the selected site, select OK t prceed t the setup f yur next site.
