Open the Hyper-V Manager cnsle. 2. Click 20410D-LON-SVR3. 3. In the Actins pane, click Settings. 4. Under Hardware, click DVD Drive. 5. Click Image file, and then click Brwse. 6. Brwse t D:\Prgram Files\Micrsft Learning\20410\Drives, and then click Windws2012R2RT 7. Click Open, and then click OK. 8. In the Hyper-V Manager cnsle, duble-click 20410D-LON-SVR3. 9. In the pp-up windw, click Change date and time settings. 4. In the Date and Time dialg bx, click Change Time Zne. 5. In the Time Zne Settings dialg bx, set the time zne t yur current time zne, and then click OK 6. In the Date and Time dialg bx, click Change Date and Time. 7. Verify that the date and time that display in the Date and Time Settings dialg bx match thse in y 8. T clse the Date and Time dialg bx, click OK. Task 4: Cnfigure the netwrk 1. On LON-SVR3, in the Server Manager cnsle, click Lcal Server. 2. In the Server Manager cnsle, next t Ethernet, click IPv4 address assigned by DHCP, IPv6 Enab 3. In the Netwrk Cnnectins dialg bx, right-click Ethernet, and then click Prperties. 4. In the Ethernet Prperties dialg bx, click Internet Prtcl Versin 4 (TCP/IPv4), and then click 5. After LON-SVR3 restarts, sign in as Adatum\Administratr with the passwrd Pa$$w0rd. Results: After cmpleting this exercise, yu shuld have deplyed Windws Server 2012 n LON-SVR3. Yu als shuld have cnfigured LON-SVR3, including name change, date and tim e, and netwrking. Exercise 2: Cnfiguring Windws Server 2012 Server Cre Task 1: Set cmputer name 1. Sign in t LON-CORE as Administratr with the passwrd Pa$$w0rd. 2. At the cmmand prmpt, type scnfig.cmd and press Enter. 3. T select Cmputer Name, type 2, and then press Enter. 4. Enter the cmputer name LON-CORE, and then press Enter. 5. In the Restart dialg bx, click Yes. 6. Sign in t server LON-CORE using the Administratr accunt with the passwrd Pa$$w0rd. 7. At the cmmand prmpt, type hstname, and then press Enter t verify the cmputer s name. Task 2: Change the cmputer s date and time 1. Ensure yu are signed in t server LON-CORE as Administratr with the passwrd Pa$$w0rd. 2. At the cmmand prmpt, type scnfig.cmd, and then press Enter. 3. T select Date and Time, type 9, and then press Enter. 4. In the Date and Time dialg bx, click Change time zne. Set the time zne t the same time zne 5. In the Date and Time dialg bx, click Change Date and Time, and verify that the date and time m tw times. 6. In the Cmmand Prmpt windw, type 15, and then press Enter t exit Server Cnfiguratin. Task 3: Cnfigure the netwrk 1. Ensure that yu are signed in t server LON-CORE using the accunt Administratr and the passwrd 2. At the cmmand prmpt, type scnfig.cmd, and then press Enter. 3. T cnfigure Netwrk Settings, type 8, and then press Enter. 4. Type the index number f the netwrk adapter that yu want t cnfigure, and then press Enter.

4 5. On the Netwrk Adapter Settings page, type 1, and then press Enter. This sets the Netwrk Adapte 6. T select static IP address cnfiguratin, type S, and then press Enter. 7. At the Enter static IP address: prmpt, type , and then press Enter. 8. At the Enter subnet mask prmpt, type , and then press Enter. 9. At the Enter default gateway prmpt, type , and then press Enter. 10. On the Netwrk Adapter Settings page, type 2, and then press Enter. This cnfigures the DNS server address. 11. At the Enter new preferred DNS server prmpt, type , and then press Enter. 12. In the Netwrk Settings dialg bx, click OK. 13. T chse nt t cnfigure an alternate DNS server address, press Enter. 14. Type 4, and then press Enter t return t the main menu. 15. Type 15, and then press Enter t exit scnfig.cmd. 16. At the cmmand prmpt, type ping ln-dc1.adatum.cm t verify cnnectivity t the dmain cntr Task 4: Add the server t the dmain 1. Ensure that yu are signed in t server LON-CORE using the accunt Administratr with the passwr 2. At the cmmand prmpt, type scnfig.cmd, and then press Enter. 3. T switch t cnfigure Dmain/Wrkgrup, type 1, and then press Enter. 4. T jin a dmain, type D, and then press Enter. 5. At the Name f dmain t jin prmpt, type adatum.cm, and press Enter. 6. At the Specify an authrized dmain\user prmpt, type Adatum\Administratr, and then press E 7. At the Type the passwrd assciated with the dmain user prmpt, type Pa$$w0rd, and then p 8. At the Change Cmputer Name prmpt, click N. 9. In the Restart dialg bx, click Yes. 10. Sign in t server LON-CORE with the Adatum\Administratr accunt and the passwrd Pa$$w0rd. Results: After yu cmplete this exercise, yu shuld have cnfigured a Windws Server Server Cre deplyment and verified the server s name. Exercise 3: Managing Servers Task 1: Create a server grup 1. Sign in t LON-DC1 with the Administratr accunt and the passwrd Pa$$w0rd. 2. In the Server Manager cnsle, click Dashbard, and then click Create a server grup. 3. In the Create Server Grup dialg bx, click the Active Directry tab, and then click Find Nw. 4. In the Server grup name bx, type LAB Use the arrw t add LON-CORE and LON-SVR3 t the server grup. Click OK t clse the Create Se

5 6. In the Server Manager cnsle, click LAB-1. Press and hld the Ctrl key, and then select bth LON-CO 7. Scrll dwn, and under the Perfrmance sectin, select bth LON-CORE and LON-SVR3. 8. Right-click LON-CORE, and then click Start Perfrmance Cunters. Task 2: Deply features and rles t bth servers 1. In Server Manager n LON-DC1, click LAB Scrll t the tp f the pane, right-click LON-CORE, and then click Add Rles and Features. 3. In the Add Rles and Features Wizard, click Next. 4. On the Select installatin type page, click Rle-based r feature-based installatin, and then c 5. On the Select destinatin server page, verify that LON-CORE.Adatum.cm is selected, and then c 6. On the Select server rles page, select Web Server (IIS), and then click Next. 7. On the Features page, select Windws Server Backup, and then click Next. 8. On the Web Server Rle (IIS) page, click Next. 9. On the Select rle services page, add the Windws Authenticatin rle service, and then click Ne 10. On the Cnfirm installatin selectins page, select the Restart the destinatin server autmat 11. Click Clse t clse the Add Rles and Features Wizard. 12. In Server Manager, right-click LON-SVR3, and then click Add Rles and Features. 13. In the Add Rles and Features Wizard, n the Befre yu begin page, Click Next. 14. On the Select installatin type page, click Rle-based r feature-based installatin. Click Next 15. On the Select destinatin server page, verify that LON-SVR3.Adatum.cm is selected, and then c 16. On the Server Rles page, click Next. 17. On the Select features page, click Windws Server Backup, and then click Next. 18. On the Cnfirm installatin selectins page, select the Restart the destinatin server autmat 19. Once the install cmmences, click Clse. 20. In Server Manager, refresh the view, click the IIS nde, and then verify that LON-CORE is listed. Task 3: Review services and change a service setting 1. Sign in t LON-CORE with the Adatum\Administratr accunt and the passwrd Pa$$w0rd. 2. In the Cmmand Prmpt windw, type the fllwing tw cmmands, and press Enter after each ne: netsh.exe advfirewall firewall set rule grup="remte desktp" new enable=yes netsh.exe advfirewall firewall set rule grup="remte event lg management" new enable=yes 3. Exercise 4: Using Windws PwerShell t Manage Servers Task 1: Use Windws PwerShell t cnnect remtely t servers and view infrmat in 1. Sign in t LON-DC1 with the Adatum\Administratr accunt and the passwrd Pa$$w0rd. 2. In the Server Manager cnsle, click LAB Right-click LON-CORE, and then click Windws PwerShell. 4. At the cmmand prmpt, type the fllwing, and then press Enter: Imprt-Mdule ServerManager 5. T review the rles and features installed n LON-CORE, at the cmmand prmpt, type the fllwing, a Get-WindwsFeature 6. 7 10. Clse Windws PwerShell. Task 2: Use Windws PwerShell t remtely install new features 1. On LON-DC1, n the taskbar, click the Windws PwerShell icn. 2. T verify that the XPS Viewer feature has nt been installed n LON-SVR3, type the fllwing cmmand Get-WindwsFeature -CmputerName LON-SVR3 3. T deply the XPS Viewer feature n LON-SVR3, type the fllwing cmmand, and then press Enter: Install-WindwsFeature XPS-Viewer -CmputerName LON-SVR3 4. T verify that the XPS Viewer feature has nw been deplyed n LON-SVR3, type the fllwing cmman Get-WindwsFeature -CmputerName LON-SVR3 5. In the Server Manager cnsle, frm the Tls drp-dwn menu, click Windws PwerShell ISE. 6. In the Windws PwerShell ISE windw, in the Untitled1.ps1 script pane, type the fllwing, pressing E Imprt-Mdule ServerManager Install-WindwsFeature WINS -CmputerName LON-SVR3 Install-WindwsFeature WINS -CmputerName LON-CORE 7. Click the Save icn. 8. Select the rt f Lcal Disk (C:). 9. Create a new flder named Scripts, and then save the script in that flder as InstallWins.ps T run the script, press the F5 key. Prepare fr the next mdule After yu finish the lab, revert the virtual machines t their initial state by cmpleting the fl lwing steps: 1. On the hst cmputer, switch t the Hyper-V Manager cnsle. 2. In the Virtual Machines list, right-click 20410D-LON-DC1, and then click Revert. 3. In the Revert Virtual Machine dialg bx, click Revert. 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 fr 20410D-LON-CORE and 20410D-LON-SVR3.
