4 1. Introduction 1.1. Purpose of the document The document describes the differences of the CLS licensing process between this product (feature) and the standard process of OpenScape License Management (see document License Guidelines). 2. Product Information 2.1. General a) Product supports system ID and can be ordered via configuration tool and linear. b) HiPath 4000 V6 Codeword 730 cannot be used together with other features and will generate a pre-defined license key with a duration of 730 days. c) HiPath 4000 V6 Duplex enables the user to enter a second MAC address for the Standby server (second license key). d) The product support network licensing. This means that one license file is generated that contains the aggregated licenses of several systems. To build such a network do this: o o Activate each system to its own MAC address Fill the field MAC address of Network CLA, of all systems that should belong to the network, with the MAC address of the used CLA. o For every system select an administration group e) However new systems added directly to an existing network license do not observe an activation period. They require regular licenses right away. f) In case of a HiPath 4000 V6 network a second license key is generated if on the network CLA MAC address a HiPath 4000 Manager with enabled Standby Server exists. In this case the second license key is generated for this Standby MAC address. g) The product uses administration groups. For standalone systems the administration group defaults to 1 and needs not to be selected from the drop down. In case of network licensing systems are grouped based on this selection. Systems that belong to the same administration group share license from their pool. h) Every HiPath 4000 V6 Base license key contains 5 licenses for the Java Husim Phonetester. i) With V6R2 the remaining duration of the SUSE Upgrade Protection (updates for the SUSE operating system) is shown by the feature HiPath 4000 V6 SLES Upgrade Protection for 3 years (initial) and HiPath 4000 V6 SLES Upgrade Protection for 3 years (renewal). When activating HiPath 4000 V6 SLES Upgrade Protection for 3 years (renewal), the duration of already activated HiPath 4000 V6 SLES Upgrade Protection for 3 years (initial) is extended for further 3 years (1095 days). j) Any number of HiPath 4000 V6 SLES Upgrade Protection for 3 years (renewal) can be activated under the condition, that their amount is not exceeding the amount of already activated HiPath 4000 V6 SLES Upgrade Protection for 3 years (initial). k) Furthermore, HiPath 4000 V6 SLES Upgrade Protection for 3 years (initial) and HiPath 4000 V6 SLES Upgrade Protection for 3 years (renewal) cannot be activated at the same time. l) In case of network licensing, an additional license key is created for every HiPath 4000 Assistant which contains the SUSE component because the network license key does not. The Assistant will inform whether a SUSE upgrade is allowed or not. 4

First Licensing One of these licenses has to be used: HiPath 4000 V6 Base HiPath 4000 V6 Codeword 730 5

6 Table Header Harmony Sans Bold 9 pt 4. Add-On Licensing In case of linear Add-On activation the Installed Base will be updated. 5. Rehost Please use the Rehost workflow to change values of additional input fields, e.g. a Standby Server Locking ID. Search for the main Locking ID of the system and perform a Rehost. Re-enter the former main Locking ID and change the value of the field you want to modify, e.g. enter a new Standby Server Locking ID. Please note that it is not possible to search for systems using a Standby Server Locking ID or an additional input value. We recommend to search using: - Locking ID (only the main Locking ID if the product supports Standby Server.) - System ID (if applicable) - Alias Name 6. Shift The product used Shifting with confirmation to support partial shifts. On CLS select the menu Shift and search the system to reduce the license quantity. The shift workflow itself will be done in a new browser window. You will have to select the system to which the licenses will be shifted. As result of the shift, you can download the reduced license key of the FROM / source system and both systems will be locked for further workflows. You will have to install this FROM license key first. Thereby the system will output a confirmation code that you have to enter at the CLS menu item Shift Confirmation. This will unlock both systems and you will be able to download the increased TO / destination license key. The number of possible Rehost / shift workflows is limited. Be aware that a Rehost / Shift counter will be decreased. 7. License Transfer Orders with system id should be transferred as whole. 6
