1 DEPOSITPARTNER INSTALLATION GUIDE Web Application for Windows Operating Systems STEP 1: SCANNER DRIVER INSTALLATION NOTE: In order for the scanner to work properly, the scanner drivers must be installed before signing in to the DepositPartner Web application. 1. Click the link that was provided to you in the Welcome sent from 2. Click DepositPartner Scanner Driver in the Installation Software & Driver section. 3. The File Download Security Warning box will appear asking if you want to open or save the file. Click Open. 4. A zip file box will open. Double-click on setup.exe. Last Update 7/18/17 Page 1

2 5. The following User Account Control box may be presented. If you receive this box, click Yes. If you do not get this warning, skip to step The InstallShield Wizard will appear. Wait for this step to complete and do not click Cancel. 7. On the next screen, click Next to install the TellerScanDriver. 8. On the next screen, click Install The next screen shows you that the TellerScanDriver is installing. Wait for this step to complete and do not click Cancel. 10. Once done, the following InstallShield Wizard Completed screen will show. Click Finish. Last Update 7/18/17 Page 2

3 11. The following screen a pop up window will appear requesting to restart the PC in order for the configuration changes made to TellerScanDriver to take effect. Close out all open applications on your desktop, including the zip file, and click Yes. Note: Once the PC has restarted, the scanner driver installation is complete STEP 2: SCANNER HARDWARE INSTALLATION NOTE: Before installing the scanner hardware, make sure that you have downloaded the DepositPartner Scanner Driver and that all of the items listed below were included in the scanner shipment you received. If anything is missing, please contact Johnson Bank Customer Support Center at It is very important that you retain the original box the scanner came in for warranty purposes. Packaging List: NOTE: A Panini mi:deal scanner may not include an inkjet cartridge, cleaning kit, or Disposable check bags. 1. TellerScan Device (scanner) 2. Ink-Jet cartridge 3. USB 2.0 Cable 4. Power supply cord 5. Cleaning Kit 6. Disposable Check Bags 7. Support Contact card The Teller Scan Device should be located on a flat surface near the PC. 1. Plug the Power Supply cord into the TellerScan Device and a nearby power outlet. The smaller end will be plugged into the TellerScan Device while the larger end will plug into the power outlet. 2. Connect the USB cable to the USB port located on the rear side of the scanner and to an available USB port on the Computer. Last Update 7/18/17 Page 3

4 3. Turn the scanner on by using the on/off switch located on the back of the scanner. If you have the CX-30 model or a Panini mi:deal scanner, there is not an on/off switch, it will automatically turn on when connected to the PC. 4. Your PC should find the new hardware once the USB cable is plugged into the scanner and your PC. If your PC found the new hardware, you are finished installing. Re-boot your PC before utilizing DepositPartner. If your PC does not automatically find the new hardware, continue with Step Click on the Windows icon located on the bottom left corner of your PC to access your start menu and choose Control Panel. Windows 8 users will need to search for their Control Panel to open it. 6. From the Control Panel, click on Devices and Printers. Last Update 7/18/17 Page 4

5 7. Once the Devices and Printers screen opens, Click Add a device. 8. Select the TS Device from the list Windows provides and click Next. 9. You will see a confirmation page stating that the device has been successfully added to the computer click Close. Last Update 7/18/17 Page 5

6 10. To validate the device is installed properly, on the Control Panel under Devices and Printers, highlight the TS Device. Right click and select Properties. 11. From the properties screen, select the Hardware tab. The Device Status will show This device is working properly. Last Update 7/18/17 Page 6
