Step 1: First you will have to be on the Start screen Step 2: When you see this screen simply type the word System using your keyboard. When on this screen (Start) you can use your keyboard to search for files or programs by typing the name of the file that you are looking for. 5. TROUBLESHOOTING Internet/Network problems: If you are not able to connect to the Internet, verify the following: 1. Check the Ethernet cable to ensure it is plugged in and not damaged. 2. If you are connected via Ethernet cable, either for DSL or Cable Internet connectivity, verify if there is a blinking green light on the LAN port. The link and activity lights on the LAN port help you verify if your connection is working or not. 3. If you are using a Cable Internet connection and using a router, disconnect the router and connect the PC directly into the modem. Restart your modem and PC (unplug any additional computers you may have physically connected to the modem for troubleshooting.) 4. If you are using a DSL Internet connection make sure your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is aware of the new system. Make sure to inform them of the Physical Address found using the command prompt. In order to access the command prompt, type CMD in the start search field in the start menu to bring up a DOS screen. When at the screen, type in IPCONFIG /ALL to bring your network IP Address and Physical Address. Copy your IP and Physical address and give this information to your ISP for internet connectivity troubleshooting. No Power: If you cannot turn on your PC, or it is not responding when you press the power button, follow these steps: TROUBLESHOOTING 1. Verify that your system is plugged into your wall outlet or surge protector. 2. Check to ensure that the switch on the back of the PC is set to the on, or 1, position. 3. Check to see if any fans are spinning in the PC, or if any lights are on. 4. Re-seat the power cable. 5. Make sure that the electrical outlet is working by testing it with another device. 6. Plug the PC directly into the wall, bypassing any power protection devices, power strips, and power extension cables, to check whether the PC turns on properly. *Note: If you need further assistance please refer to the Getting Help section of the user manual. Step 3: Next you will get a list of options. Here you will have to click on Settings 12 23

Alternatively, you can perform manual backups by writing files to a CD/DVD, an external hard drive, or a flash drive. Internet Security To avoid viruses, malware, identity theft and other risks associated with using the internet, ZT recommends using an up-to-date antivirus program.
