35 Overview Android for Work is a program for supporting enterprise use of Android, which consists of product features in Android, Google Play for Work, Android for Work Accounts and other productivity tools. The solutions built on Android for Work include data security, apps security, device security etc. An IT administrator needs to set up Android for Work before anyone can start using it. The setup differs depending on what type of GSuite or managed Google Account you have, or if you use Android for Work Accounts. The type of account you have determines if you can use Google Mobile Management or a third-party EMM provider. Pulse Workspace provides the following solutions: Android for Work Accounts: This helps customers who do not have GSuite or Managed Google Account to use Android for Work. Google Play for Work: This helps GSuite or Managed Google Account customers to use Android for Work. For more details about Android for Work, refer to Google website. For details about setting up Android for Work Accounts and Google Play for Work, refer to Pulse Workspace Appliance Getting Started Guide. 86 LDAP Groups Enterprises would like to assign policies based on the LDAP group. For example, staff in Sales needs access to specific set of Enterprise apps as against staff in Finance which needs a different set of Enterprise apps. You can configure LDAP groups and assign these groups to policies. These policies are then sent to Workspaces when users configure Workspaces on their mobile devices. If users are in multiple LDAP groups, then they get multiple policies. The order of policies applied to Workspaces depends on the order of polices configured on Workspace Server. To add an LDAP group: 1. Click the Settings icon on top-right-corner of the page and select LDAP Groups. The Manage LDAP Groups page displays a list of existing LDAP groups. For details about the configuration in the Pulse Connect Secure server, refer to the section LDAP Auto Provisioning in the Pulse Workspace Configuration Guide.
