3 Part 1: Upgrade dongle to KD Max V5.0 As the KD MAX V5.0 is approaching to release officially, to reduce the problem with recycling old lock, there is no need to change the USB Keylock from the upgrade from V4.0 to V5.0.So it involved two different ways to make upgrades for your keylocks. If your software is KD Max V1.0/V2.0/3.0, and we will make a new replaced pre-upgrade keylock to you, please send back the old keylocks within 2 month. Besides, you could neglect the following steps 1-8. If your software is KD Max V4.0, please follow the steps 1-8 to update your keylock to V5.0. Step 1: Key 1 manual update tool: Download Key1.exe from Step 2: Insert your KD Max dongle to computer. After the "Device driver software installed successfully" tip pops up, we can go to the next step, to update your dongle. Step3: Double click key1.exe. Dialogue box (shows as below) will appear. Click "Save To File..." button to continue. 3 / 12

4 Step4: To name the.txt file in the name of the dongle number. Click save button and send the application to Steve Step5: We will send you a *.cod file as soon as we received your application. Save the *.cod file to your computer Step 6: Key 2 manual update tool: Download Key2.exe from Step 7: Insert your software dongle to computer. Double click key2.exe. Click Read from File 4 / 12

5 Step 8: Select the save *.cod file. Click "Update" button to continue. Step 8: It appears that the message with Update Ok, then press OK to exit. 5 / 12

6 Part 2: System installation and configuration This chapter shows the software and hardware requirements for running KD Max V5.0, and also introduces how to install and configure the system. 1. System requirements: In order to run KD Max, it is necessary for your system to include the following components: Component Operating System Requirement Microsoft Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8. Windows 7 32bit is recommended. CPU At least Intel Core 2 Duo and equivalent Intel Core i3 or above is recommended RAM Hard Driver USB Port 2GB for Microsoft Windows XP 4GB for Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 4GB for full installation, with another 2GB for running Supporting USB 2.0 or above Video Card OpenGL compatible video cards with minimum 256MB nvidia Geforce standalone series with 512MB is recommended Displayer minimum 1,024 x 768 screen resolution at 32bit true color Internet connection Browser Dial-up or broadband Internet access is required for updates. Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later 6 / 12

7 2. System installation Before you install this system, please make sure: 1. The hard disk drive has free space more than 5GB. 2. Set the color quality as 32bit, or you cannot enter 3D mode. 3. Do not insert the lock before you finished the installation of KD Max. 4. Before you install, close all applications currently running on your system including other YFCAD applications, Microsoft Office applications, and browser windows. 5. If you have installed any former version of KD Max, please uninstall it first. 7 / 12

8 Part 3: Installing KD Max V5.0 Installation of KD Max V5.0 upgrade download link (upgrade use only) You will run the files (install from the download file if upgrade) Please turn off the antivirus software before installing! Step1. Insert the Flash disk of KD Max V5.0 into the USB port of your computer. If the window of "Welcome to the KD Max V5.0 Setup Wizard" showed up automatically, then click "Next" to continue. Note: If this window did not show up automatically, or you have already downloaded the installer of KD Max V5.0 from the Internet, we need to open "Computer>> CD Drive KD Max" or your downloaded installer to run "setup.exe". And then we will see the Welcome window above. It is suggested to run Setup.exe with Run as Administrator option. 8 / 12

9 Step2. Read the license agreement. And then tick I accept the agreement and click next to continue. Step3. Select a folder as the system folder of the software. The default folder is C:\KDMax. You can change it by clicking Browse. Then click Next to continue. 9 / 12

10 Note: If you have a driver D, it is suggested to install KD Max to D:\KDMax for faster running speed. Step4. Click Install to start the installation of KD Max V5. 10 / 12

11 Step5. Extracting files. We need to wait about 10 minutes here. Step6. After finishing the installation, click Finish to exit Setup. 11 / 12
