3 Technical requirements Swap automate needs access to the internet. An https protocol is executed when Swap automate performs the backup or restore from the EPM cloud application. Make sure no proxy or firewall on the client (where Swap automate is installed) prohibit Swap automate from running the https protocol. The standard oracle traditional cloud account s password expires every 3 months. The corresponding password for the cloud account used in Swap Automate should be changed when you change the password in your Oracle EPM cloud application. Swap Automate requires windows version 10. Swap Automate can be used only for the following Oracle EPM Cloud products: FCCS (Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud) and PBCS (Oracle Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service) Swap Support advises to test any restore on your EPM cloud test environment before executing to production. Always take a backup before restoring a snapshot or objects within the snapshot. 3

4 Pre-requisite Before installing Swap Automate install Oracle EPM Automate on the server or pc where you will install and run Swap Automate. Swap Automate leverages the functionality in EPM Automate to connect to your Oracle Cloud Application. You can install Oracle EPM Automate from your EPM Application, see screenshots below. Go to Downloads Click button Download for Windows Installation Swap Automate After you've received or downloaded the application first unzip the file. After you have unzipped the file, click on 'setup.exe' The install window will open 4

5 Enter your name, organization, and the serial number provided. Click Next Choose the appropriate directory and click Next 5

6 Click Next Click Close to exit. Running the application Open the folder where you have installed the application. Click Swap-Automate.exe, the application will open: Enter the following information: 6

7 Cloud Enter the oracle cloud web address, for example Domain Enter you re oracle domain, from the url above, in this example the a value. User Enter an oracle cloud user with the roll of Service Administrator Password Enter the password for the user Click OK. 7

8 Taking a single backup You can take a single snapshot of your cloud application or schedule a task for a scheduled backup. Click on Backup to take a single snapshot. Choose the directory where your backup will be stored. Click Create Backup Depending on the size of your cloud application, the backup will progress. 8

9 Schedule backup You can schedule a daily or weekly backup. You can schedule only one backup at the time. Click Schedule Enter the desired information for the daily or weekly schedule. Daily backup For a daily backup: 1. Choose frequency: daily backup 2. Enter the start date, start time and recurrence 3. Choose the directory where you want to store the backup 4. Choose how many days you want to retain the backups. For example if you choose 7 days, the backups of the last 7 days will be retained. Backups older than 7 days will automatically be removed. 5. Click OK

10 Weekly backup For a weekly backup: 1. Choose frequency; weekly backup 2. Enter the start date, start time and day(s) of the week you want to make a backup. 3. Choose the directory where you want to store the backup 4. Choose how many days you want to retain the backups. For example if you choose 7 days, the backups of the last 7 days will be retained. Backups older than 7 days will automatically be removed. 5. Click OK notification The standard oracle traditional cloud account s password expires every 3 months. The corresponding password for the cloud account used in Swap Automate should be changed when you change the password in your Oracle EPM cloud application. When you wish to receive an notification when you have to reset your password, enter the following information for configuring SMTP. 10

11 Click OK (send test ) Enter windows credentials After you have clicked OK enter the account credentials for your windows system. On behalf of this account the schedule will be planned. Click OK : 11

12 Restore a backup Caution!: Swap Support advises to test any restore on your EPM cloud test environment before executing to production. Always take a backup before restoring a snapshot or any specific artifacts/objects. You can make a restore from the available backups made. Click Restore. Click Browse and choose the backup/file to restore. Click Restore backup. You will see the progress of the restore in the Restore Log window. 12

13 When the restore is completed you will see the following message. Logon to your Cloud EPM application and navigate to the migration window. From the migration window choose the desired artifacts to be restored in your application. Swap Support advises to test your restore on your EPM cloud test environment before executing to production. 13

14 Uninstalling the application When you remove the application the scheduled backup task will be removed also. You can remove the application from add or remove programs. 14
