1 SyncFree SyncFree: The Development of an Open Source Personal Data Synchronization Software {s , s , yccheng, SyncFree Abstract People who use different computers at different environments tend to have the problem of finding the newest version of a specific document. This phenomenon may result in poor working efficiency. Thus, maintaining consistency and synchronization of the distributed personal data is obviously an important issue. To effectively address the issue, this paper develop an open source personal data synchronization software SyncFree. SyncFree makes it easy for users to synchronize data stored in two different locations by offering flexible ways to plan synchronization and to define data filters through a user-friendly interface. SyncFree is platform-independent and supports multiple network protocols.
