Machine Mounted Block I/O 1792 Series Product Profile Allen-Bradley s growing family of ArmorBlock I/O modules now provides you with more product choices. ArmorBlock modules increase your I/O interfacing options in many field situations, especially where you need only a few highly distributed input or output points in a remote location. Because each member of the ArmorBlock I/O family is hardened for severe industrial environments there is no need for additional protective enclosures, significantly reducing installation time and cost. Their NEMA 4, 4X, 6P and IEC IP67 hardened packaging is ideal for direct machine mounting. Because they can be mixed and matched on any DeviceNet network, they provide an extremely cost-effective way to physically distribute optimal amounts of I/O within a single machine or an overall control system. Small and Flexible Because of their small size and hardened packaging, ArmorBlock I/O can be directly mounted on machines providing space savings normally consumed by protective enclosures. A Complete DeviceNet I/O Solution ArmorBlock I/O modules are self-contained I/O interfaces that provide a DeviceNet communications adapter, DC power supply, I/O rack and I/O module, all in one industrially sealed package. All ArmorBlock I/O modules are tested at an Open DeviceNet Vendors Association, Inc. (ODVA) authorized independent laboratory and fully comply with the appropriate ODVA specified test software and procedures. Less Costly to Install and Maintain ArmorBlock I/O modules can be located close to your sensors and actuators, which helps reduce the amount of wire and other materials needed for installation. Use of quick disconnect 12mm micro and 18mm mini connectors for interfacing to your I/O devices provides plug-and-play ease of installation and reduces wiring errors.
