1 Product Change Notification Change Notification #: Change Title: Various Intel Ethernet Adapters, Date of Publication: February 21, 2019 PCN , Label, Switch to Brady Anti- Counterfeit label Key Characteristics of the Change: Label Forecasted Key Milestones: Date Customer Must be Ready to Receive Post-Conversion Material: March 25, 2019 Description of Change to the Customer: The various Intel Ethernet Adapters products mentioned in the Products Affected / Intel Ordering Codes table below will undergo a label change. Since 2009, Intel has included an authentication label on our Ethernet Adapter products. It is to ensure that the Intel product customers purchase meets the stringent quality and reliability standards that customers have come to expect. Intel is now changing the URL and format of the label. It will continue to provide customers with on-demand validation and manufacturing information about products. When customers receive product with the authentication label, customers will be able to verify that they have a genuine Intel product by scanning the QR code on the label (preferred method) or by going to the URL on the label and using the code provided. 2 The current label is pictured here: The new label is pictured below: Both labels are valid and are verifiable at their specific URL. There will be mixed inventory of both labels for the foreseeable future. There will be no part number changes with this change. Customer Impact of Change and Recommended Action: Customers can expect to receive mixed inventory. The label change to the products does not affect the operation or functionality of the product. Customers should be aware of the changes to the label and take appropriate actions to accommodate the changes and avoid impact to their processes for receiving or integration in their factories.
