5 1 Overview Xapity Current Activity is a useful FREE application that displays current in Progress activity on a workflow. If there are multiple In Progress activities it will allow you to choose which one it opens. By default, it will not show Parallel or Sequential activities, but will allow you to show them if needed. Xapity Current Activity provides a quick and easy way for Analysts to open activities. 2 Supported Work Items Xapity Current Activity supports the following Work Items Change Request Release Record Service Request 3 License Keys Xapity Current Activity is a free product and does not require a license key. 4 Prerequisites for Xapity Current Activity There are no prerequisites for Xapity Current Activity. 5

6 5 Installation and Configuration of Xapity Current Activity 5.1 Import the Management Pack Installation of Xapity Current Activity involves importing the management pack. In the Service Manager console navigate to Administration\Management Packs and import the following: Xapity.CurrentActivityLibrary.mpb (change to mpb file type in import window) A restart of the console after importing a Management Pack is always recommended. 6 Open Activity In Progress Task Xapity Current Activity enables Analysts to quickly access the current activity on a work flow. 6.1 One in Progress Activity The task will open the current activity.

The task will display the dialog below allowing the analyst to choose the activity they want to open. Hide Container Activities: uncheck this to see the parent Parallel or Sequential Activity in the list. The analyst can then choose to open the Parallel or Sequential Activity. 7

8 7 Language Support and Overrides Xapity Current Activity supports all Service Manager languages: CHS Chinese JPN Japanese (Simplified) KOR Korean CHT Chinese NLD Dutch (Traditional) NOR Norwegian CSY Czech PLK Polish DAN Danish PTB Portuguese DEU German (Brazil) ELL Greek PTG Portuguese ENU English RUS Russian ESN Spanish SVE Swedish FIN Finnish TRK Turkish FRA French ZHH Chinese ITA Italian (Taiwan) 7.1 Rebrand or Edit Translation Xapity products are available in all languages and have been translated using our best attempts. You also have the ability to rebrand any of the labels and even the task itself. In the product download zip file there is an unsealed Management Pack Xapity.CurrentActivity.ExtendedLanguages.xml. This XML Management Pack can be edited and then imported into Service Manager to fix translation errors. In the product download we provided an Additional Languages Xapity Current Activity folder, with a base language file for each of the Service Manager supported language. In each text file, all the variables and labels are defined with a default translation. Copy the contents of the file and paste it into the LanguagePack Display Strings section of the Xapity.CurrentActivity.ExtendedLanguages.xml Management Pack. It is also possible to edit the XML and only add one or more of the strings as an override. The variables not referenced will use the default settings for that language. 8

Add to Xapity.CurrentActivity.ExtendedLanguages.xml as a new LanguagePack. Replace the green section below with the contents of the additional language. Tip: If you come across translation errors, either in the default languages or the extended languages, please let us know. We are always trying to make our products better! 9
