Dilbert s fishpond is in the shape of a right regular hexagonal prism, top view shown below. The fishpond has a depth of 3 ft. Find the pond s volume. Answer: ft 3 B. The radius of the base of a circular cone is 5 and the height is 6. Find the area of the cross section 2 units from the base. Answer: 100 π 9 C. Plane E intersects a right circular cylinder and is parallel to the line that contains the centers of the bases of the cylinder. Find the volume of the smaller spatial region of the cylinder that is cut off by E. Answer: 1280 π units³ 3
