1 NUMERICAL ANALYSIS ON NAVAL APLICATION M7-T36 GEAR BASED ON COMMERCIAL SOFTWARE Șef lucr. dr. ing. ABSTRACT. Experience indicates that there are any operating frequencies onboard vessels and gears can be daaged by bad operating situations. Due to geoetrical coplexity of gears, finite eleent analysis is needed in order to deterine all frequencies related to presented gear. The paper presents odal analysis for M7-T36 gear based on Ansys software results. The 3D esh in such analysis can be coplex and tie consuing in order to get the best result in odal analysis. The esh presented in this article can be iproved for a odel in ANSYS siulations. Keywords: M7-T36 gear, odal, Analysis on naval aplication, Ansys software. 1. INTRODUCTION Gears are relatively coon in the naval industry and a finite eleent analysis done for specific gear types is relevant to detection of faults discovered during inspections onboard. analysis is coplete, the user can odify input the data used in paraetric design. Ansys software is widely used in industry and anufacturing process via geoetry odeler and static and dynaic load calculation while other sources cause failure during operation. In naval sector, there are any old vessels fitted with wide range of gears. To avoid gears failure production plants have to investigate all related failure sources. 3. ANALYSIS SETTINGS AND NUMERICAL SOLUTION Fig. 1. M7-T36 gear Cad geoetry. 2. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION Settings used in esh will presented below for the nueric solution calculated for M7-T36 gear Cad geoetry. All calculated and presented data is solved in the etric syste as presented in table 1. Table 1. Units The ain idea of Ansys nuerical analysis is to deterine odal frequencies generated for M7-T36 gear.
