In conjunction with stream-based television services, LuxeVision enables operators to deliver customized navigation and information services to subscribers set-top boxes using a standard browser interface. The IncodeX One live streaming encoder is designed for 24/7/365 unattended operation and provides high quality H.264 encoding and AAC audio encoding. It allows for multiple video input types, including HD/SD-SDI, and composite, as well as embedded and unbalanced analog audio inputs. Manages and monitors the entire LuxeVision system, including coordinating video streams, monitoring system components, and initiating failure switchover when necessary. The application server provides switching path coordination for video servers, hosts the middleware, stores user settings and preferences, and provides application processing of remote client set-top functionality. A single LuxeVision Video-on-Demand Server provides hundreds of hours of storage (HD/SD, H.264/MPEG-2) and is available as either a video-on-demand streaming server (unicast) or as a broadcast streaming server (multicast). The video-on-demand server is capable of up to 100 simultaneous streams at 8 Mb/s. The broadcast streaming server is capable of up to 20 multicast streams at 8 Mb/s. This one-rack unit configuration makes it easy to start small and grow to virtually unlimited service deployments with very high availability. The LuxeVision Multicast Server can work independently as a staple within a LuxeVision solution or as an add-on for additional multicast capacity within a LuxeVision ipmerge solution. In either scenario, this high quality multicast server provides up to 350 hours of storage at 8Mb/s with up to 20 multicast streams.
