5 Release Overview These release notes briefly describe the enhancements and new features in Locate v5.2 ( ). For more information about this release, including a description of all resolved deficiencies and further explanation of the new features, refer to the Locate v5.2 ( ) PTF Listing. NOTE: The rebranding for the latest version of this document is in development as part of post MICROS acquisition activities. References to former MICROS product names may exist throughout this document. Prerequisites Prior to installing this upgrade, you must be on Locate v5.1, database level ( ) server level ( ) or higher.. Documentation The following documentation for Locate v5.2 is now available. 6 Features This section includes brief summaries of some of the significant enhancements and new features for Locate v5.2. Moved Property Configuration to Tenant Screen To alleviate the need to navigate through folders and files, the configuration settings were moved to the Locate database and are now maintained on a new Tenant screen. The Tenant screen is accessed from the Systems toolbar menu option. You can now easily make and save changes from within the Locate user interface. Additionally, when the values are saved Locate, immediately implements the new values, eliminating the need to restart the service. 6 of 10

7 Added new RESTful Web Service for Store Inventory Levels A new RESTful web service has been created to be used by a calling system (such as an ecommerce system) to request current inventory levels of store locations. Using this method, Locate creates a file of the inventory information and places it on a share directory for consumption. The location of the shared directory is defined on the Tenant screen under the Data Folder Settings and Export Files. Prior to this enhancement, the calling system was required to run a database stored procedure against Locate to obtain the store inventory levels. This options still exists. Job Scheduling in Multi-Server Environment Locate was enhanced to allow any server in a multi-server environment to run scheduled jobs. Not only does this allow for scheduled jobs to run regardless of primary designation, it also spreads the job load across servers. A new Locate_Admin database has been created to manage the execution of scheduled jobs, ensuring scheduled tasks are distributed across servers. 7 of 10

8 Enhanced Password Requirements For Locate user accounts that are not using LDAP authenticated during login, Locate now supports complex password requirements. This includes: Expiry of passwords every 90 days Password length from 7 to 25 characters No spaces Include at least 1 numeric character Include at least 1 letter Cannot be the same as the user ID Cannot be the same as any previous 4 passwords. Applications impacted are Locate, Store Connect, and Supplier Direct Fulfillment Vendor Portal. Note: After you performed the v5.2 upgrade, all local (non LDAP) user accounts will be required to change their password when logging in for the first time. Cloud Readiness In support of Cloud Readiness, Locate was enhanced to support a single code base with multiple databases and tenants. Furthermore, images used with Supplier Direct Fulfillment and Store Connect for printing picking, packing documents, and screens are now displayed using a URL defining the image location. Additionally, reports are no longer stored on the Locate application server shared directory. Reports are now stored in the database. Technology Enhancement Locate has been upgraded to use Java Runtime version Issue Resolution Several reported deficiencies have been resolved in Locate v5.2.
