3 The faster the better Generation 3 TOF (Gen 3 TOF) enables timing resolution of 495 ps, a 31% improvement over first generation TOF that allows faster scans, lower dose, and excellent image quality, especially with large patients. Gen 1 Gen 2 Gen 3 Philips TruFlight: The solution to better PET imaging In conventional PET imaging, it s possible only to know that a coincident event has taken place on the line of response, but not the actual location of the event. TruFlight technology uses the actual time difference between the detection of coincident events to more accurately identify the origin of the annihilation. Better identification leads to a quantifiable improvement in image quality. Gen 3 TruFlight brings further improvements in scanning speed and timing accuracy. 3

4 Innovation with perception GEMINI TF Big Bore allows the accuracy so vital to radiation treatment by allowing the patient to be in treatment position on a TG-66-compliant table during the simulation scan, potentially improving accuracy of both simulation and treatment delivery. 4

5 Wide open for virtually every opportunity GEMINI TF Big Bore is the world s first and only large-bore PET/CT system, combining an 85 cm PET gantry with a TG-66-compliant table for a fully capable high-end system. Because the system uses the same unique TruFlight TOF architecture as other Philips GEMINI TF systems, it provides the same proven image quality and can be used as a fully featured PET/ CT system in a shared service environment. Timely tracking Philips Tumor Tracking is an efficient tool for quantitative follow-up assessment of cancer treatment response. Dealing simultaneously with several PET/CT scans is a challenge because extracting response criteria based upon an integrated analysis of PET and CT images and tracking these criteria over time can be tedious. Tumor Tracking simplifies management of cancer patients by enhancing the workflow for serial analysis of PET/CT scans. Tumor Tracking works with regular 2D PET studies and with 4D TOF visualization, allowing lesions to be delineated with reduced motion blur. It is designed to help enhance characterization and SUV quantification of small lesions. Tumor Tracking improves workflow for serial analysis of PET/CT scans, enhancing the efficiency of patient follow-up by monitoring disease progression and treatment response in an organized manner. 5

6 The BrightView XCT is very helpful in the interpretation of nuclear medicine images by providing high-quality localization and attenuation correction. The quality of the SPECT images is noticeably improved with the addition of attenuation and scatter correction. 7 Innovation with value CT tailored to you BrightView XCT is designed entirely for nuclear medicine, with a system that marries a variableangle SPECT camera with a non-diagnostic highresolution flat-panel CT detector for localization and attenuation correction of SPECT studies. It s designed to be neither too much CT (high-dose diagnostic CT) nor too little (poor-resolution CT solutions), but just the right amount. Astonish allows you to focus on patients by reducing radiation exposure at full-time imaging or helping to provide greater comfort with half-time imaging at the full injected dose, or the convenience of stress-only imaging.
