4 1 QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CAMERA & HARDWARE 1.1 Which Wi-Fi networks are supported for Panasonic BL-VT164W supports n/b/g Wi- Fi networks. You can turn on the Wi-Fi for Cameramanager go! / Panasonic BL-VT164W by following the steps at question 2.1: How do I turn on the Wi-Fi for. 1.2 Which wireless (Wi-Fi) encryption does Panasonic BL-VT164W support? Panasonic BL-VT164W supports the following network encryptions: WEP method: 64bit/128bit: Encryption is performed with 64 or 128 bit WEP method. We strongly recommend not to use WEP, since this encryption method can be hacked within a few minutes. WPA-PSK (TKIP): TKIP is used to perform encryption. Because TKIP updates the encryption key at set intervals, it has stronger encryption than WEP. WPA-PSK (AES): AES is used to perform encryption. Because AES updates the encryption key at set intervals, it has stronger encryption than WEP. Because WPA-PSK (AES) processes encryption at hardware level, it is able to contain speed losses better than when compared to WPA-PSK (TKIP), but it can only connect to devices that support it. WPA-PSK (TKIP/AES): WPA-PSK (TKIP) or WPA-PSK (AES) is automatically selected according to the encryption method used by the wireless router. On Windows phones and tablets you open the mobile app via cameramanager.com/mobile. 3.2 Which smartphones can I use for Cameramanager go! / the Panasonic BL- VT164W? Android: we support all versions starting at Android 2.2. ios: we support all versions starting at ios How can I change the language of the Cameramanager application? In order to receive push notifications on a smartphone or tablet, you first need to configure your settings for detection. You do this in the installed computer application, or in the online Java application. Go to Settings ; In the top right click on Cameras ; Select the camera for which you want to configure the settings for motion and/or infrared detection. Go to Scheduling and Triggering ; Click with the left mouse button on the timeline at, for example, the option motion detection ; With the mouse button pressed, drag the cursor over the desired time interval. Where the timeline becomes yellow, the interval is set; After setting the time interval for detection, click with the left mouse button on the timeline at the option push notification ; With the mouse button pressed, drag the cursor over the same time interval as just set for motion detection. Where the timeline becomes yellow, a push notification will be send when the camera detects motion; Click on Save 3.6 How can I turn off the push notifications for Turn off notifications for all mobile devices To turn off notifications for all mobile devices, you need to turn off notifications in the installed computer application or the online Java application. 11 4 QUESTIONS ABOUT THE INSTALLATION 4.1 What is the best way to mount Cameramanager go! / the Panasonic BL- VT164W? The best way to mount your camera depends on your own, personal situation. In some cases you might want to get a clear overview of a big area. The higher you mount the camera, the more you will be able to see, but less detailed. If you want to get a clear view of people s faces wallmounting on eye-level might be the way to go for you. If you are not sure, contact your point of sales. Be aware that for defining the correct position it is good to know the viewing angles of the camera. The Panasonic BL-VT164W has a horizontal angle of view of 57 degrees (98 degrees with pan, tilt & zoom) and vertical angle of view of 34 degrees (75 degrees with pan, tilt & zoom). 4.2 Can I install Panasonic BL-VT164W outdoors? Unfortunately, it is not possible to install your Cameramanager go! camera outdoors. The camera is only suited for indoor use. 4.3 I would like a professional installation for Panasonic BL-VT164W.
