4 Creating and managingg connections with Honeywell CCTV systems HRXD/HRSDD EUREKA AND CCTV SYSTEMS Eureka allows you to supervise CCTV systems from Server workstations and from local and remote Terminal workstations. By connecting the Server to the CCTV system ( specifying the TCP / IP address, user and password), it is possible to visualize cameras from both lists and icons that identify their position of graphical maps; it is also possible to create rules that in case of alarm, fault, etc.., will automatically activate camera views on both Server and Terminal stations. REQUIREMENTS Windows XP. RasPlus must be installed. ( RASplus 1_4_2.zip) CCTV system must have a local or remote TCP/IP address CONFIGURATION OF HONEYWELL CCTV HRXD/HRSD Use default configuration to set ports; in particular, watch port must be set to

5 CREATING A CONNECTION TO HONEYWELL CCTV HRXD/HRSD Use E8 Links32 to create a connection to CCTV. Highlight 4.Cameras and select the HRXD/HRSD system to connect. Configure Type: Select the model depending on the number of cameras provided by the system. Configure Description: enter the title of the CCTV system; it will be displayed on the title of the camera view window. Configure TCP/IP Address: it is possible to configure two addresses to access the system, the first Local to access the system on the local network; the second Remote in case for example of a remote Terminal station. 5

6 CONFIGURING CAMERAS Now that the connection has been set up, it is possible to configure each camera with Eureka. From the Settings menu select Cameras, a list of cameras ( X indicates that the camera is enabled)will be displayed. By selecting a camera you can: Enter a description of the camera; Enable / disable the camera; if the camera is disabled, you can t visualize it; Activation at startup, if selected it indicates that you want to visualize the camera at Eureka startup ; Set the icon to be displayed on graphical maps. CONFIGURATION PARAMETERS Some values in parameter files.mdb are related to the use of cameras: 25: is used to indicate the minutes left before closing an unused camera (default 10) 26: is used to indicate the milliseconds to wait before the camera can return to the foreground (default 10000) 30: to use if you want to display the cameras on another screen. Indicate the offset in twips to position the cameras on the second screen (default 0). From version on, any value other than 0 is okay. 33: when greater than 0, it indicates that you want the camera windows in the center of the screen (default 0) 6

7 ACTIVATING CAMERAS FROM GRAPHIC MAPS Once enabled, you can position the cameras on graphical maps. From the Setup Menu select Map, from the list of Maps select the map you want, then add the camera to the map list of items. After adding the camera, open the map with the icon shown below. Place the icon by dragging it with the mouse. 7

8 Then save the settings. Recalling the map the user will now be able to view the camera with a click on the icon. 8

9 On any graphic map it is also always available a list of cameras from where you can enable camera view. ACTIVATING RECEIVING CAMERAS By selecting Cameras in the reception mask, you have access to a list of cameras that can be viewed with just one click. 9

10 ACTIVATING CAMERAS WITH MACROS In some situations you might always have to repeat the same sequence of commands; for example, to display a group of cameras in a certain position. In such cases it may be useful to create MACROS. From the Setup menu select Macro, add a new macro, and in Activations indicate the group of commands to be activated. Enable the Macro in the description section, then save. The macro can be activated from the list of macros in the reception mask, or after having positioned it on a graphical map, with a click on the icon representing the macro. 10

11 ACTIVATING CAMERAS WITH RULES You can create rules that activate cameras under certain conditions. From the Setup menu select Rule, add a new rule, then in the IF section indicate the conditions activating the commands previously entered in ACTIVATIONS. In the example it is shown that in the occurrence of a sensor alarm on peripheral 1, camera 1 must be displayed in preset position2. The commands available on cameras of Honeywell systems HRXD / HRSD are: Turn on the camera, Hide camera, Activate Camera preset. Note that in Rules you enter OR type conditions (the occurrence of one of the conditions activate the commands). Once the rule activated, the condition must first return false in order to reactivate. 11

12 ACTIVATING CAMERAS WITH TIME RULES You can create time rules that activate cameras under certain time conditions. From the Setup menu select Time Rule, add a new rule, then in the IF section indicate the conditions activating the commands previously entered in ACTIVATIONS. In the IF NOT section indicate the conditions that must not happen. In the example it is shown that every day except Sunday at camera 1 must be displayed in preset position 3. The commands available on cameras of Honeywell systems HRXD / HRSD are: Turn on the camera, Hide camera, Activate Camera preset. Note that you enter OR type conditions in both the IF and the IF NOT section (one of the conditions is sufficient). In other words, commands are activated only if one of the conditions in the IF part is true, and none of those in the IF NOT section is true. 12

13 CONTROLS OF CAMERAS By pressing the button that allows you to: when a camera is displayed, you can activate the commands section change the camera to be displayed: click with the left mouse button on the camera number; add camera: click with the right mouse button on the camera number; change the layout (1 camera, 4 cameras, 8, 16 use telemetry controls to rotate, zoom, focus, presets, etc... check the brightness and contrast. The number in red indicates the active camera. 13

14 OPERATOR CONFIGURATION By selecting an operator from the Setup menu, you can restrict the use of cameras:: Display: the operator can see all of them or just a few, with or without a password; PTZ: the operator can use the telemetry controls on all of them or just on a few of them, with or without a password By selecting the button, you can choose which cameras will be visible to the operator. In this example when the operator opens the CCTV commands, he will see the buttons related to camera 3 and 4 disabled. And the camera icons on graphical maps will look like this 14

15 REMOTE CONNECTION From Reception menu you can activate the mask with the list of CCTV systems connected. By selecting the desired CCTV system, you can change the TC / IP connection in order to use the Remote address previously set with Remote E8 Links32. In the same way you can return to the TCP / IP local address. TERMINAL WORKSTATIONS CCTV systems are also visible from Terminal stations. Configuration must be done only on the Server, as the Terminal upon connection acquires information from the Server to connect to cameras. 15
