A regulated DC12V 1A power supply is recommended for use with this camera for the best picture and the most stable operation. An unregulated power supply can cause damage to the camera. When unregulated power supply is applied, product warranty will be out of subject. 2. It is recommended that the camera is used with a monitor that has a CCTV quality 75 video impedance level. If your monitor is switched to high impedance then please adjust accordingly. 3. Do not attempt to disassemble the camera to gain access to the internal componets. Refer servicing to your dealer. 4. Never face the camera towards the sun or any bright or reflective light, which may cause smear on the picture and possible damage to the CCD. 5. Do not remove the serial sticker for the warranty service. 6. Do not expose the camera to rain or other types of liquid. 7. The apparatus must be connected to a mains socket-outlet with a protective earthing connection. 3

18 11. OSD FUNCTION DESCRIPTION 1. SCENE SELECT : There are six SCENE SELECT modes with settings to make configuration easier. You can select one of the six SCENE SELECT modes in the submenu. The modes are defined as follows. SETUP 1 / 2 SCENE SELECT FULL AUTO PICT ADJUST EZOOM DIS PRIVACY MASK MOTION DET SYS SETTING EXIT - FULL AUTO: This mode supports various shooting scenes. It is not specialized to any particular scene, so it allows average shooting in any situation. - INDOOR: This mode is specialized to indoor scenes, such as indoor shop surveillance. It allows natural shooting with high contrast. - OUTDOOR: This mode is specialized to outdoor scenes, such as road surveillance. It features high contrast and resolution, and allows shooting with high visibility even in foggy outdoor conditions. - BACKLIGHT: This mode is specialized to scenes that mix indoor and outdoor conditions, such as entranceway surveillance. It allows shooting with high visibility and a high dynamic range, even under backlighting conditions. - ITS: This mode is specialized to scenes where moving subjects enter the picture, such as traffic surveillance scenes. It allows high-resolution shooting of moving subjects with low blur. - CUSTOM: This mode turns off the auto scene recognition. All functions can be set and adjusted manually. 18

SHUTTER/AGC ADVANDED AUTO SETUP 1 / 2 SHUTTER / AGC AUTO WHITE BAL ATW HLC / BLC WDR / ATR - EX WDR DNR DAY&NIGHT DAY IR OPTIMIZER AE LEVEL 100 AGC MAX 30 DB SENS UP - AUTO: Enable user to set up AE LEVEL, AGC MAX, SENS UP. - MANUAL: Enable user to set up shutter speed, AGC MAX. - FIX: Enable user to set up shutter speed, AGC WHITE BAL - ATW: ATW performs indoor/outdoor identification, estimates the light source, and performs WB control automatically. Enable user to set up SPEED, DELAY CNT, ATW FRAME, ENVIRONMENT. - PUSH: The PUSH function performs WB control automatically regardless of the indoor/ outdoor and light source conditions. - USER1, USER2: The USER functions set the WB gain in accordance with preset values(b-gain, R-GAIN). - MANUAL: Enable user to sets the White Balance according to the circumstance. (LEVEL 0~63) - PUSH LOCK: Enable user to fix the White Balance according to the color temperature in the certain environment HLC/BLC - HLC: High Light Compensation(HLC) is a function that improves the visibility of license plates and other such objects by suppressing or mask processing light sources (such as the headlights of automobiles) in dark places. - BLC: This function works for subjects in the kind of backlight conditions WDR/ATR-EX - WDR: The WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) function creates images free from overexposure or loss of dark detail by combining two images from tripping the shutter for a long exposure time and for a short exposure time in one field. * This menu is only available in the WDR model. - ATR-EX: In this mode, the brightness of a single image is compensated using the gamma curve. - 19

DAY/NIGHT (*This menu is not available in the IR-LED model.) - COLOR : Enable user to fit the output image in color. - B/W : Enable user to fit the output image in B/W. - AUTO : Enable user to convert to COLOR/BW automatically by luminance element on screen IR-OPTIMIZER (This menu is only available in the IR-LED model.) : By the IR LED light, the screen is saturated, and automatically adjust the brightness, so you can see the screen. - MODE : Enable user to set up AUTO, CENTER. (*AUTO mode can not be changed except CUSTOM mode.) - IR AREA : Enable user to set up IR area. (This can not be changed except CUSTOM mode.) - LEVEL : Enable user to set up level (0~12 level) 1-8. LENS SHD COMP : This function compensates shading effect caused by lens. ADVANCED LENS SHADE COMP SETUP 2 / 2 LENS SHD COMP DEFOG ON FLK LESS AUTO ANTI CR ON PATTERN SET1 POSH 480 POSV PATTERN : This function is compensation level. (SET1, SET2, SET : Low, Middle, High) - POSH, POSV : Enable user to set up compensation center position DEFOG : Detects foggy condition automatically and provides high contrast picture. (*This can not be changed except CUSTOM mode.) 20

OSD FUNCTION DESCRIPTION FLK LESS - AUTO : Flicker is automatically detected and compensated for. - ON : Flicker is always compensated for. - : Flicker is not compensated for ANTI CR : The color rolling phenomenon can be reduced by ANTI CR function. - AUTO : Anti color-rolling is automatically detected and compensated for. - ON : Anti color-rolling is always compensated for. - : Anti color-rolling is not compensated for. 2. PICT ADJUST : Enable user to control the image. PICT ADJUST BRIGHTNESS 128 CONTRAST 32 SHARPNESS 08 HUE 064 COLOR GAIN 128 SETUP 1 / 2 SCENE SELECT FULL AUTO PICT ADJUST EZOOM DIS PRIVACY MASK MOTION DET SYS SETTING EXIT 3. EZOOM : The E-ZOOM function is used to expand one part of the monitor screen for viewing. The magnification rate and position are controlled by the OSD. The position to be expanded can be moved horizontally using the E-Pan(electronic pan) function and vertically using the E-Tilt(electronic tilt) function. 4. DIS: The Digital Image Stabilizer (DIS) function internally detects shaking of the image due to camera shaking, and performs digital compensation processing inside the DSP to suppress this shaking and stabilize the image output. 21

POSITION COLOR TRANSP MOSAIC BLACK MOTION DET - DETECT SENSE: Motion detection sensitivity selection. - INTERVAL: Motion detection interval - BLOCK DISP: Motion detection result frame display selection. - MASK AREA: Motion detection setting menu, for setting the no-detection area. - MONITOR AREA: Motion detection setting menu, for setting the detection area. BLINK : Cursor display blinking during manual defect registration. REG.NUMBER : Registered white pixel defect count display - AUTO: Auto white pixel compensation. LEVEL1: The threshold adjustment of the white pixel detection LEVEL2: The threshold adjustment of the very large white pixel detection. AUTO: Execute menu of the automatic white pixel compensation. - DATA CLEAR : Initializes the white pixel compensation CAMERA RESET: Initializes all of the menu as the factory default. MANINTENANCE W.
