2 ANPR OVERVIEW 2 Megapixel ANPR cameras now available from Dahua Our Dahua ANPR cameras offer a complete number plate recognition system. The cameras use built in algorithms to detect and capture vehicle number plates and store the details in a database. The cameras can capture and store number plate snapshot images on an SD card without the need for an NVR. Why Choose Dahua ANPR cameras? The ANPR camera range incorporates high quality 2 megapixel images, varifocal lens, headlight antidazzle and long range IR LEDs for number plate recognition up to 40 metres away. The cameras offers a whitelist/blacklist feature that can trigger set events based on stored number plates. Features & Management Dahua ANPR software is integrated within the camera. This allows the camera to be installed as a stand alone unit and offers number plate recognition and the ability to control external devices such as barriers. 4 Metres ANPR Setup Our Dahua ANPR cameras are IP based but has more specific setup requirements than a standard IP camera. These requirements include height, distance and angle positioning as well as software configuration to ensure correct operation. A full site survey and installation by a trained engineer is recommended. Maximum 6 Metres covering 2440 metres. What Is The Minimum & Maximum Working Distance? The recommended working distance is 340 metres dependant on mounting height. See diagram opposite. What Is The Maximum Viewing Angle? The vertical angle should not exceed 30. The horizontal angle should not exceed 30. The angle of the number plate should not exceed 5. What Is The Detection Accuracy Percentage? The detection accuracy is up to 97%. What Is The Maximum Vehicle Speed? Maximum vehicle speed is 25MPH (40KPH). What Is The Minimum & Maximum Pixel Size For Accurate Detection? The pixel size (width) should be more than 130 & less than 300. The recommended pixel size is 150. Do I Need An NVR To Record Number Plates? The camera can be used standalone and will store captured snapshot images of number plates (with an SD card installed). An NVR is required to capture video footage. Do All Dahua NVRs Offer ANPR Functionality? All Dahua NVRs will record video footage from the camera, however, ANPR events are only available on the NVR600/NVR50004KS2 range. How Many Snapshot Images Can Be Stored On The Cameras SD Card? Using a 32GB SD card the camera can save over 50,000 jpeg images. How Many Number Plates Can Be Added To The White List? Up to 10,000 records can be added to the white list. What Plate Formats Are ed & Which Plates Can Be Detected Simultaneously? The camera supports 23 countries in EU region (including UK, Germany, France, Italy & Spain). It also supports 8 countries in CIS region (including Russia & Ukraine). All can be detected simultaneously if set to UN mode. Can The Camera Open A Barrier Based On A Recognised Number plate? Yes, the camera supports a white list function that can trigger the relay output when a number plate is verified. Do I Need An Overview Camera? If general monitoring of the area is required an additional camera is recommended. ANPR cameras are designed to be focussed on a specific area to catch and log number plates only. Is The Camera Day/Night? Yes, the camera includes an IR cut filter for day/night images. Can You Search By Plate Number? Camera/Web Browser With the use of an SD card the camera will keep log entries and snapshots of each number plate. These can be reviewed by time/date or specific plate search via the camera web browser. NVRs NVR600/NVR50004KS2 recorders can record events based on whitelist, blacklist or any plate. These can be reviewed by time/date or specific plate search via the NVR search menu. Is The Camera Plug & Play? Installation of the camera is the same as any other Dahua IP camera, however, configuration of the ANPR function requires manual setup via the camera web browser. How Long Does The Initial ANPR Configuration Take? Configuration of the ANPR function will vary depending on the position, viewing angle and required features. For this reason it is recommended to allow extra time for commissioning of the system. Does The Camera Require A Bracket? Yes, the ITC237PU1AIRHL camera requires a PFB604W wall bracket. This wall bracket also fits the IPPTZB004 pole mount bracket. How Do I Back Up Evidence? Backing up from the camera can be done via the web browser interface to save stored jpeg images locally. Backing up from the NVR can be done from the NVR backup menu or search menu. ANPR events can be listed, selected and exported to your backup device.
