2 Product Description: Back 40 WinBase is a software program which allows connecting a RTK capable GPS receiver to a Caster program over an internet connection. The WinBase software connects to the GPS receiver by serial connection and a NTRIP Caster on the same or a remote computer using the TCP connection. This software has the added ability to decode RTK messages and identify which orbiters and which message types are being sent from the reference GPS receiver station. There is an added ability to configure SinoGNSS, Novatel, and some AgLeader receivers to act as RTK reference stations. Back 40 WinBase software is an NTRIP Server software. This software is offered as FREEWARE. This software will not expire. Licence Agreement: No warranty is expressed or implied by this software. This software is offered as FREWARE. It is intended to be used by a person or entity operating one or more RTK reference stations but as a single network. This software may not be disassembled or any section of code used for any purpose, whether for monetary gain or not, without the written permission of its officers and shareholders. This software may not be sold or rebranded. The software may not be used in any other way or for any other purpose than the intended purpose listed above. By use of this software the user agrees to these terms. General Limitations of Liability: Warranty and Limitation of Liability BACK 40 PRECISION INC HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES WITH RESPECT TO THE SUBJECT MATTER OF THIS AGREEMENT, WHETHER STATUTORY, WRITTEN, ORAL, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, SUITABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. warrants to the customer that Product manufactured or sold with the Back 40 Precision Inc brand will conform to the specifications and release tolerances for a period of 24 months. For all other Product and Service, Back 40 Precision Inc. will make every reasonable effort to assist the customer in fulfillment of the Manufacturer s Product warranty as it is stated by that Product s manufacturer or supplier. The liability of under this limited warranty does not extend to any Products which are abused, altered or misused by the customer or any other persons or entities or which become defective or non-conforming through the actions or inaction of the customer or any other persons or entities. For any Product manufactured by or sold with the brand, for a term of 1 year from the customer s invoiced purchase date, if any Product warranted hereunder proves defective or non-conforming, 's sole liability and the customers sole remedy hereunder shall be for, at the discretion of, to repair or replace at no cost to customers, any such defective or non-conforming Product with a non-defective or conforming Product (as applicable) upon 's receipt of the defective or non-conforming Product. For any Product manufactured by or sold with the brand, for a time greater than 1 year and less than 2 years from the customer s invoiced purchase date, if any Product warranted hereunder proves defective or non-conforming, Back 40 Precision Inc.'s sole liability and the customers sole remedy hereunder shall be for, to repair any such defective or non-conforming Product. The cost of materials will be provided at no cost to the customer. The cost of labor will be billed to the customer. For purposes of this Limitation of Liability section, a defective or non-conforming Product is defined only as a Product which is outside of the manufacturer's defined Product specifications and release tolerances, and shall not include Products that fail to meet any fitness of use by customer or any unique customer operating conditions or applications. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THE INDEMNIFICATION SECTION OF THE CONTRACT, IN NO EVENT SHALL EITHER PARTY HAVE ANY OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY FOR ANY EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, USE OR GOODWILL), WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER THEORY OR FORM OF ACTION, EVEN IF SUCH PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY THEREOF. THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF SUPPLIER (INCLUDING ITS SUBCONTRACTORS AND AGENTS), IF ANY, FOR DAMAGES RELATING TO ANY PRODUCTS SOLD UNDER THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE AS SET FORTH IN THE LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SECTION OF THE CONTRACT. Computing Requirements: The software has been tested on Microsoft Windows XP through 8.1

3 Operation and Usage: The main screen is divided into these areas. NTRIP Caster Information: Enter the IP address of your Caster computer. Enter the port number that base stations connect to. Enter the login or mountpoint. Enter the password. You may enter information to send the data to a second Computer as well. Check the box to use Backup Server. Network Information: This information is used by the Caster to build a data table Also called a sourcetable. Enter Country. Enter Network Name. Enter the receiver approximate Latitude. Enter the receiver approximate Longitude. Enter a base ID number for configurable receivers. Select the correct serial port your receiver will be connected to. Select the matching baud rate as the receiver is set. Caster computer response: This shows the last message received From the Caster computer. Satellite Information: This section displays the Current messages being Sent from the receiver and The satellite ID numbers Being tracked.

4 Menu Items: File Menu: Save current settings and to exit the program. Survey Menu: Click on Details to open the popup window. This function allows for a long term survey To be recorded and then sent to a receiver Such as Novatel, AgLeader 6500, and SinoGNSS models. Press the Begin NEW Survey button to start A survey of the receivers position. The survey Will end automatically at 10,000 samples or By pressing the End Survey Now button. At the end of the survey this function will Average the recorded positions. This will Then be sent to the receiver. Closing the window without pressing the End Survey Now button will not stop a survey Already in progress. It will continue to run In the background. Antenna Menu: Click on Details to open the popup window. If the receiver does not provide any information on the right side. You may enter the information on the left column. Checkmark Use Manual Ant Details and then Press the Save Changes button.

5 Receiver Menu: Click on Model / Type or the Location to open the popup window. Receiver Details popup Select the type of receiver you Will be connecting. Generic serial will be the default. Select ComNav for SinoGNSS models. Select Novatel for older Novatel And current models made on the Smart 6 series of Novatel receiver. AgLeader 6500 Raven 600S AGCO Position popup This window simply displays the Receivers reported XYZ coordinates And the conversion to Lat, Long, Elev.

6 Simple use with AgLeader GPS6500 rover package After you mount a Novatel Smart6 series receiver that has been RTK unlocked, provide 12 volt power. Connect your PC running the Back 40 Win Base to the primary serial port on your receiver. From the PC select the Receiver Menu and click on the Model / Type. Select Novatel / AgLeader6500. Save Settings. Select Survey and click Details. Press the Begin NEW Survey button. Run as long as you need. If it is meant to be a permanent installation then let it complete a 24 hour cycle. After being up and running you should begin to see satellite numbers and message ID numbers appearing on the display.
