1 ViewersLogic - Installation guide General Thank you for joining the ViewersLogic (VL) media panel. Before you install the app, please make sure you meet the following requirements: 1) Have a Home Wi-Fi network 2) Own a Smartphone with an Android OS (version 4 and above). 3) Own an LG or Samsung smart TV (2012 or newer) which is connected to the home network 4) Have a Sky set-top box which is connected to the home network OR: 5) Have Freeview embedded in the TV (not in a separate box) with no other cable / satellite TV VL collects real-time information on TV viewing and information on the online mobile activities of the users. This data enables advertisers to better target and measure the effectiveness of their TV ads. The data collected by VL is used anonymously. The company will not pass any personal user information to any 3 rd party! The app collects the following information: Which channels are viewed on the TV Info on whether the TV is on or off List of the Apps used on your mobile phone (name of app + time of usage) List of Google searches done through the mobile phone List of the web pages visited through the mobile phone. The VL app does not collect the following information Sites visited while in 'private browsing' Search conducted while in 'private browsing' Content of WhatsApp messages, SMS, phone calls etc. Actions performed within the apps

2 Installation guide: Phase 1 Installing the app Please click on the following link which leads to the Google Play store and install the app: After installing the app you will see the following app icon on your phone: Before you click on the app icon please make sure that: 1) Your TV is open and connected to the home Wi-Fi. 2) Your phone is connected to the same home Wi-Fi as the TV Phase 2 - Registration Click on the VL icon and open the application In the first screen of the app (see screenshot below) you should fill the user ID and password which you received in the accompanied .

3 After entering your details, please click on the 'Next' button on the bottom of the screen. Phase Enabling access on Android 5.0 (Android Lollipop phones) The following steps are ONLY for phones which run Android 5.0 OS. If your phone runs any other Android OS, skip to the next section! If your phone has an Android 5.0 (Android Lollipop) OS, you will need to perform the following actions: After completing the registration, you will see the following screen Click on the 'Next' button on the bottom of the screen and you will be moved to the following screen:

4 [Remark: this screen may show other apps on top of ViewersLogic] Now click on the Toggle button and move it to the right. After moving the button, you will see the following message: Click "OK" and you will return to the ViewersLogic app for the next step. What if I don t see the screen in step 2.1? You will not see this screen if your device is not running Android 5.0. If you are running Android 5.0 and you still don t see the screen, you can also access this screen directly from the settings menu here: Android Settings > Security > Apps with usage access Phase 3 connecting to the TV After finishing the registration you will need to connect the app to your TV. In the next screen you should see a list of your smart TVs. If you cannot see any TV click on the 'Refresh' button as can be seen in the screenshot below. Make sure you are connected to the home Wi-Fi before continuing.

5 If you have a Samsung smart TV, you will now see a message on the TV screen asking you to allow the phone to access the TV data. Click 'Allow' using the TV remote control. If you have an LG TV, you will see a numeric code on the TV screen. You should enter this code in the PIN field which appears on the app screen (see screenshot below) If the number does not appear on the TV, please click on the 'refresh' button within the app After you are connected to the TV, close the app (which continues to work in the background). When you open the app again, you will see the status of the connected media devices. Phase 4 Connecting to the virgin set-top box (only for Virgin users) Use your TiVo remote to go to Home > Help & Settings > Settings > Devices > Network Remote Control Choose Allow network-based remote controls then follow the onscreen instructions.

6 Phase 5 disabling the ViewersLogic notification on Android 5.0 (Android Lollipop phones) If you have an Android 5.0 phone you will see on your home screen the below notification In order to disable this notification please do the following: 1) Press on the ViewersLogic notification icon until the notification changes its colour 2) An information icon (i) appears on the right side of the notification icon (see screenshot below) 3) Click on the (i) on the right side of the notification icon and a menu will appear 4) In the menu: select "Show no notifications" If you encounter any problem, please send an to: support@viewerslogic.com
