3 Preface VP203 is the car tracker which is designed by thinkpower company with richfully hardware interface. it s supporting both 2g /3g communication. Users can view and operate the vp203 device through PC web browser or mobile. Hardware features Dual Bank UMTS/HSPA+ 900/2100MHz Quad Bank GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900MHz 6 digital I/O for input output, 3 of these I/O can be multiplexed with adc function 2 rs232 interface,1 of these RS232 can be multiplexed with rs485 ACC detect B+ detect SOS Gps,gsm led indicator One relay box(option) One fuel level sensor(option) One fuel consume sensor(option) RFID reader(option) Software features New postion Real time position History playback Geo fence Warning hint,including acc status change,shock,low battery,sos,overspeed B+ cut off warning Oil /electric control

Support report output. details reference to the appendix 2 Using manual notice For the tracker will be used at different country and area, so the user need to modify the apn settings or the tracker cannot log on our platform server. Set primary sos first method Before set the apn, the user have to set the sos primary telephone number, if not, the sms will be throw away by the tracker as a unauthorized telephone number. The methods below : 1. User call the tracker s sim telephone number, it will be hang up and the user s mobile will receive a sms Do you want to set this number as sos?. If the user cannot receive the sms, try call it again. 2. When received the sms, if agreed, reponse with content of Y or y. keep waiting, if received another sms like this xxxxxx,success,set the primary sos number within 1 minute, the configuration succeed. 3. From now on, you can do the apn modify operation, you can directly edit the sms in the sms application of the mobile or through the apk s operate. About the sms command, reference to the end of this article.

5 Set primary sos second method When you got the tracker from factory, you can directly set the primary sos just using the sms avoiding the complex steps above, but you need know the tracker s IMEI number. The detail format referenced from the appendix 1 theoretical description working mode There are two kinds of working mode, real time and none real time. Real time indicate the device will keep a long connect with the server and report the location as the dedicated interval time. none real time indicate the device can operate only by sms including the gps location report. Location report Report by interval time : report the location as the dedicated time interval, can change the interval by user operation. Report by distance : we assumed one report as the distance beyond x meters. X default to 500m, you can configure the value. Cut line warning This warning keep open state. when B+ line was cut off,if the device online, the user will get the notification on the web page. If the sos primary number s not empty,the mobile of the associated sos number will get the warning sms About warning Sos sms warning will be sent to the all 4 mobile of setted sos. the other s sms warning only sentto the mobile of setted as the primary sos. Web configure Log on the platform server by the pc web page and select the tracker, do the configure items like below SIM card number :set the sim card telephone number of the device. timezone:the timezone will used by device,the gps UTC time need this to calculate the local time.

6 Sos telephone number:support four sos numbers Working mode:real time and none real time If set real time, the report interval need to be configured at the same time ACC status warning:switch flag whether the acc status changed warning need to be report. Shock warning:switch flag whether the shock warning need to be report, three levels being defined, low, middle, high. Low battery warning:switch flag whether the low battery occur need to be report. Sos warning:switch flag whether the sos key being pressed, the warning need to be report. Overspeed warning:switch flag whether the speed beyond the defined value, the warning need to be report. Primary server address :the primary server IP address and Port number using by device. Oil electrical control : user can cut off or restore oil electrical line. Sync configuration:syncronize all configurations between the device and platform server. reboot:force the tracker device to reboot restore factory setts:restore the tracker s configuration to default factory setts. The Save button can be used to batch send all modified datas. if the device no response, maybe the device s GPRS network poorly, so please refresh the web page and reconfigure to send. Mobile configure We provide you a android mobile software for configure, tracking the tracker device. if the configure succeed by the softwware, it will be syncronized to the platform server.

7 You can select the device, and long press the dedicated device, the Settings will be showed out. New position Serveral methods to get the tracker s new position : 1. using the mobile of setted sos to call the tracker, hang up being auto answered, the mobile will get the sms. 2. using the mobile software of setted sos, select the SMS function, see the figure above. 3. Using the mobile of setted sos to directly send protocol sms. 4. On the webpage, Single click the tracker or right click new position. 5. On the mobile software, select the tracker and then click the left menu s new position item. Real time tracking Multi web page or multi mobile software can opeate the real time tracker to the same tracker. the tracker being tracked will report the location on demand. Operation method similar with the new position.

8 If the tracker being tracked by many webpage or mobile, there is possibly offline occurred, and then the real time tracking will automatic finished. History playback Webpage or mobile software can review the tracker s location information at the dedicated time line, and draw the playback track points on the map. The playback s speed can be cofigured on the procedure of the drawing map. Web page s display methods was more plentifully than mobile software Geo fence Two kinds of form : Circle and rectangle. Three kinds warning :enter, exit, speed limit Valid warning conditions : begin time and finish time. Both the mobile software and web page can receive the notification. Warning remind Warning switch flag including acc status, shock, low battery, sos, overspeed. When one of the switch being closed, no warning report. Two kinds of warning, the warning transport to platform server and the sms warning. If the gps position failed, there is no warning to platform server, only sms sent out. If No sos tele number setted, the sms warning will no sent out. If gps position ok and also the warning occur, but the tracker s offline state. The warning will store inside the flash. after the tracker s online, the stored warning will be sent out to the platform server.

9 Cut line warning B+ cut line warning, no switch flag, always open. If gps position failed, no warning report to the platform server, but sms warning will send out. Oil / electric control Control the car s oil/eclectric through a relay box. Open close operation can be done by web page, mobile software or sms directly. No matter the gps position success or failure, the operation keep working. Reporter query Both the web page and mobile software support the report query operation. Web page can operation history data counter, warning counter, speed counter, odometer, parking, oil consume counter etc. Mobile software only support warning counter, history data counter. Call function Set sos number. Auto answer:if the mobile setted as the sos call the tracker, after 4 ringtones, the tracker will auto answer. if the mobile user cannot count the ringtone numbers, please hold on and the auto answer will be action. New position:if the mobile setted as the sos call the tracker, after 2 ringtones, the mobile hang up, the tracker will send the sms of position to the mobile.

Xxx is the telephone number Set sos number format sos:xxx,sos1:xxx,sos2:xxx,sos3:xxx xxx indicate telephone number,if no or cleared,using null string instread. Set apn(first method) Format IMEI,apn,name,user,pass IMEI is the tracker s IMEI number Name, user, pass indicate the apn s name, apn s user, apn s pass. this method can be used whatever the primary sos. Set apn(second method) format apn,name,user,pass if only need the apn name, using apn, name, you should ensure the primary sos being succeed setted. set server format : ip, ,1883
