The offers a " Bachelor of Science (BS) in Digital Sciences " Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Digital Sciences " Undergraduate Minor in Digital Sciences " Master of Digital Sciences (MDS) 28 August 2014 The Master of Digital Sciences (MDS)! The MDS is a Master s degree that is appropriate for students from a wide variety of backgrounds! Students have the opportunity to get an introduction to several areas outside their undergraduate field! Six concentrations allow students to specialize in a specific area of interest! Telecommunication Networks, Software Development, Management, Enterprise Architecture, Training Technology, Data Science (new for Fall 2014)! Electives provide opportunity for customization! The degree ends with a Capstone project or Thesis Augment your Professional Skill Set! Degree in electrical and communication engineering, or electrical and electronics engineering? " Consider Telecommunication Networks to add depth in networking and wireless networks! Degree in information technology, civil engineering, or mechanical engineering? " Consider Software Development to learn Python and C++ programing and software development! Degree in ECE, EEE, or computer science? " Consider Management to gain exposure to globalization, technology strategy and leadership

Enterprise architecture (EA) is a field of study that is relatively new to academia in the US and elsewhere " Only a few Master s programs in the US, including Kent State, offer enterprise architecture! 4 Digital Sciences Admission Requirements Computer Science / Software Development! GPA (Grade point average) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale from your Bachelor s degree " Guideline = 60% with no backlogs (F s) " Guideline = 65% with at most 5 backlogs " Admission is unlikely with 10+ backlogs! Evidence of English proficiency: IELTS of 6.0, TOEFL of 71 (internet) or 525 (paper), or MELAB of 77! The GRE is not required for Digital Sciences, but if you take the GRE and have good scores, please submit them! Applicants must submit official transcripts, a resume, a statement of goals, and three letters of references! Computer Science " 32 credits of CS courses " Prerequisites needed: Calculus, Linear Algebra, Discrete Structures, Data Structures, Algorithms, Operating Systems, and Computer Architecture " Target GPA of 3.35 " Target GRE of 295+ " IELTS of 6.0! Software Development " 32 credits: at most 18 credits from CS, remainder must be from other areas " No prerequisite courses " GPA of 3.00 " GRE is not required " IELTS of 6.0 Master s Fee Structure! The Master of Digital Sciences is 32 credits " Most students take 3 courses (9 credits) per semester " Tuition & fees for 9 graduate credits = $7,500 " 4 semesters => $30,000! Cost of living is around $8,000 to $10,000 per year " Housing is available on campus " Most graduate students share an apartment with other graduate students off campus! Kent is a small town of 28,000 people, plus 32,000 students, and is a very safe campus and city Master s Admission Deadlines! We have no formal application deadlines, but getting a visa takes time and some classes fill early! To maximize your chance of completing the admission process, getting your visa, and securing a seat in your preferred classes, we highly recommend that international applicants submit all of their application materials by the following dates: " Spring intake: October 15 for international students " Summer intake: March 15 for international students, " Fall intake: May 15 for international students!
