4 LICENSING REQUIREMENT HDC HALAL TRAINING PROVIDER ELIGIBILITY 1. Registered company in Malaysia 2. HRDF registered training provider 3. Company being in operation for at least two (2) years 4. The company ownership shall comprise at least 50% Muslim or Bumiputera Muslim CONDITIONS 1. Shall have at least 1 permanent supporting staff 2. Shall have at least one (1) HDC licensed trainer 3. Shall have permanent office 4. Adequate training infrastructure and/or facility (Optional) Source: i. Terms of reference for HDC Halal Training Licensing Program dated 4 th June 2015 ii. 5 ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY LICENSOR LICENSEE Provide training material Provide minimum 200 participants annually Review training material every 3 years Provide certificates of attendance Conduct monitoring on Licensee Authorized to conduct approved courses only by HDC Licensed Trainer Responsible to submit training evaluation and reports ( inclusive of all participant and trainer details) every quarterly. 6 FURTHER NOTE. 1. Certificate will only be issued upon receive of complete attendance list from licensor. Participant is required to fulfill 75% attendance in order to receive certificate. 2. The licensing agreement is valid for one (1) year. Renewal of license is upon HDC approval. 3. Training module is to be purchased from HDC. Training slides will be prepared by the Licensee and/or Licensed Trainer. However should the presentation slides provided by HDC, the Licensee shall be prohibited from converting the Copyrighted Works without obtaining HDC s express written consent. 4. Company must not have any linkages and or dealings with non-halal product or services. 6

13 HDC LICENSED TRAINER REQUIREMENT HDC LICENSED TRAINER ELIGIBILITY 1. Muslim 2. HDC and/or HRDF Certified Trainer 3. At least 3 years of working experience in the halal industry and/or 2 years of training experience 4. Degree in Islamic Study or other related field 13

15 LICENSED TRAINER RENEWAL REQUIREMENT Attend minimum of 2 halal training /conferences/courses/seminar within a year Conduct minimum of 3 courses a year with participant no less than 20 pax per session Meet 85% of training provider and participant evaluation Source: i.
