4 (2) Converting cable 2. Quick Install 2.1. Install SIM Open the SIM locker and insert the SIM card after power off Connect LAN Connect computer to LAN port and set IP address. Default Local IP: Default DHCP: ~ Sub mask: Default Gateway:

5 2.3. Login web server Access web server via router IP and the default user name and password are admin. 3. Quick configure 3.1. Cellular settings Cellular is the default WAN connection. Usually AcuMR2 will automatically configure mobile network. If not, plea se set the correct cellular parameters. APN: Please check with the local ISP. For example, China Unicom APN is 3gnet Dialing Number: Please check with the local ISP. Usually, WCDMA is *99#. GPRS is *99***1#. CDMA 2000 is #777. User name/password: Please check with the local ISP. For example in China WCDMA/GPRS do not use the parameters, and CDMA 2000 will use CARD. Authenticate Type: PAP, CHAP, MS CHAP, MS CHAP V2

6 3.2. LAN settings Note: Router IP, DHCP IP and gateway address are required in same network segment. 2 RJ45 ports design, 1 fixed LAN and 1 optional port for WAN, LAN or serial port.

7 3.3 WLAN settings WLAN feature is only for models with WIFI. MR2x supports b/g/n 2.4GHz WiFi 1T1R, with AP, AP+WDS, wireless client, wireless Ethernet bridge, WDS working mode. After enabling WLAN, if requiring authentication for WIFI users, please create password in security. MR2x can support WPA, wpa psk, wpa2, wpa2 psk, wpa psk/wpa2 psk, wpa/wpa2 and Radius Encryption. 3.4 Static DHCP If it s not easy to set static IP address on clients, please set static DHCP with the MAC Bandwidth control Under captive portal, please set traffic control. The traffic control is effective to the clients within DHCP IP pool. If just control WIFI clients, please set static IP for LAN clients. For example, Set DHCP IP pool as The traffic control only works for the clients under the IP pool.

8 3.6. Captive portal This feature is used for pushing service of advertisement. When clients access Internet through AcuMR2, the captive portal will push a web page for authenticating. After authentication, the clients can continue the Internet connection. Logged timeout: the max Internet connection time clients can use Idle timeout: the interval time between two times pushing advertisement Ignore LAN: Do not push advertisement to LAN clients. Multiple splash: Push advertisement more than one times during clients using the Internet. MAC white list: Do not push advertisement to clients with the MAC. IP white list: When access this IP address, do not push advertisement. Note: After restarting, the captive portal will work. 3.7 Portal advertisement Portal page In AcuMR2, the portal advertisement is based on the web splash.html files. The below web page is the default portal page. When accessing Internet through AcuMR2, the clients need accept this portal page landing page and press Yes, I agree, otherwise the clients cannot access Internet.

9 3.7.2 Upgrade portal files The portal version AcuMR2 was design with customer storage. Because of the limited space, there s only 2.2M for saving small portal pages. The administrator can upload new portal files from the web server or remote ezm2m platform. The administrator can edit new portal pages in the file splash_en. Note: Splash.html is portal index. Please do not change the index name, otherwise the system can not find the portal page. After uploading new files, please restart the router. Besides uploading portal files from web server, the administrator can also uploading portal files from remote ezm2m platform. Please see introduction of ezm2m platform Firewall To prevent any accessing to some web pages, please block them in firewall.

10 3.9. Administration System time After creating Internet connection, the router will synchronize the system time according NTP time server autom atically. So in order to get correct time, the administrator should select correct time zone, NTP time server, trigg er connect on demand System password AcuMR2 routers can support HTTP and HTTPS network protocols. For security, sometimes, especially the remote access will be required to use HTTPS protocol to access the router management. At default both the user name and password is admin.

11 M2M access Product ID: This router name you input will be displayed in M2M platform. M2M server IP: The M2M platform server s IP address or a dynamic domain name. Port: the default data port is the default GPS data port is Report Interval: The intervals time that router sending data to M2M platform server Configuration Backup configuration: Back up current system settings. Restore configuration: Load the backup configuration. Restore default configuration: restore factory default, or erase all data in NVRAM memory Logging AcuMR2 routers can support local logs and remote logs. The local logs will be deleted when power off. So to get the all logs, please set the router to export logs automatically.

12 Upgrade AcuMR2 routers can support web update, TFTP update and remote update. Note: Please keep the power supply during upgrading firmware; otherwise the system maybe damaged. Any upgrade may collapse the flash, so if the router works fine, please do no upgrade. Please make sure the firmware is official released version from manufacturer Reboot This feature is used for restarting router through web Debugging System logs
