13 Configure the ACE MCO Settings options 1. Open Options. 2. Select ACE MCO Settings. 3. If the information is not preconfigured, enter the following details provided by the administrator: Server Address: IP address or DNS of the Avaya ACE MCO services host Server Port: port of the Avaya ACE MCO services host Direct Access: Enable if mobile access is by way of a direct Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) data channel. WAP APN: If Direct Access is enabled, enter the WAP access point name (APN). If you do not know the WAP APN, contact your administrator or mobile network provider. You can also get this information from a device service book (open Options > Advanced Options > service book. Find a WAP entry and look for the WAP APN details in the gateway information.) Max HTTP timeout (seconds): Maximum amount of time to establish a connection to the host. Default is 40. HTTPS: Enable if communications between the Avaya ACE MCO services host and your mobile device are HTTPS over Transport Layer Security (TLS). Check the Server Port field as this differs between HTTP and HTTPS connections. When communication to the Application Integration Engine (AIE) server is made for the first time after HTTPS is enabled, you may be asked to accept the security certificate and confirm acceptance of the certificates domain. Select the "don t ask me again" option to avoid these messages in the future. 4. If your system supports configuration pushes, the administrator may have configured the default conference call dialing settings (other than the PIN you use to host conference calls) and pushed them to your device. See Use the conference dialer wizard on page 14. Number to dial: the default telephone number used for conference calls. MCO uses this number if a meeting invite only includes an access or pass code and not a telephone number. Join Conference Sequence: the sequence of characters that must be entered to join a conference call. MCO extracts the access code from the meeting invite. Host Conference Sequence: the sequence of characters that must be entered to host a conference call. Use the conference dialer wizard to configure your access code (if applicable) and host conference PIN. Access Code Keywords: the key words used to recognize a conference access code in a calendar appointment Mobility Application for BlackBerry March

14 Installation and configuration Silent DTMF: when enabled, the user does not hear the tones played into a call Section Pause: the time the application waits to transition from one conference sequence section to the next. Value is 1 to 9 seconds. Inter-Digit Pause: the time the application adds between playing the DTMF digit tones for the access and PIN codes. 5. Select the Save menu option and exit from ACE MCO Settings. Use the conference dialer wizard Use the conference dialer wizard to configure or edit the information for the conference call dialing feature. If your system supports the push of Avaya ACE MCO services configuration data to your mobile device, an administrator may have already configured some of this information. Through the wizard, you can configure or edit the following: the default number for accessing your conference service any characters that you must enter when you join or chair a conference call the access code to join your own bridge (if applicable) your chairperson PIN 1. Open Options. 2. Select ACE MCO Settings. 3. Press the Menu key and select Conference Dialer Wizard. 4. Follow the prompts to configure or edit the conference call dialing settings. 17 Chapter 4: Mobile cost optimizer The mobile cost optimizer (MCO) feature allows you to initiate calls from your mobile device through Avaya ACE MCO services to reduce charges for long distance and international calls. Rates for incoming (received) calls are generally lower than for outgoing calls. Mobile cost optimizer takes advantage of this difference and converts outgoing long distance and international calls into lower cost incoming calls. When you make a cost optimized call, the application sends the call request by way of a secure data channel to the Avaya ACE MCO service. Avaya ACE MCO handles the call in such a way that the outgoing call request from your mobile device becomes an incoming call to your mobile device. When you answer the incoming call, the application then extends the call to the destination number. The optimized call is added to the call logs. Emergency calls attempted through the Avaya ACE MCO are treated as non-optimized calls and are handled directly by the mobile device. Access mobile cost optimizer from: manually dialed calls a corporate directory or global address list the call logs menu the address book list menu the address book view menu the view menu Depending on the outcome of a request to cost optimize a call, Avaya ACE MCO sends a message similar to one of the following: Request accepted. Please answer incoming call. Request accepted. Call will be automatically answered. Request declined. Please make call manually. Request declined. Call will be set up automatically. Request declined or failed. Directly call <number>? Important: If the unconditional call divert service is enabled, another call could arrive at the mobile device and block the Avaya ACE MCO call. Because the Avaya ACE MCO call is diverted to voice mail, the Avaya ACE MCO call is still extended to the called party. Mobility Application for BlackBerry March

Select the My Devices icon on your mobile device to open My Devices. From My Devices, you can view all of the devices associated with your user account. My Devices displays the primary device in bold green and indicates whether call forwarding (CFWD) and a hot desk phone are active. For more information on how to use mobile hot desking, see the following: Make Primary on page 21 Call From My Primary on page 22 Set a Hot Desk on page 24 Release Hot Desk on page 26 For more information on the hot desking application, refer to Avaya Agile Communication Environment Hot Desking Application User Guide (NN ). 27 Chapter 6: Conference call dialing The conference call dialing feature allows you to join or host a conference call from your calendar without having to switch between the calendar and phone applications on your mobile device. If you are joining a conference call, conference call dialing uses the bridge number and access code number (the number that acts as a password to access the conference bridge) in the location field of an appointment to set up the call. If you are hosting a conference call, conference call dialing uses the number to dial and host conference sequence that you configure through the conference dialing wizard to set up the call. Conference call dialing includes the following list of predefined key words used to recognize the access code in the calendar appointment (not case sensitive): access, code, pass, pc, pw, pin, and pswd. If you need additional identifiers, add them through the conference dialer wizard. See Use the conference dialer wizard on page 14. You can access conference call dialing from the calendar view an open appointment the call logs (to host a conference call) When you select the option to join a conference call, the following occurs: 1. The application checks the location field of the appointment for an access code identifier as defined in ACE MCO Settings options. 2. If the application identifies an access code, it takes the number that follows as the access code number and considers all numbers preceding the access code as possible conference bridge numbers. The mobile device presents the possible conference bridge numbers. 3. If the location field does not contain a defined access code, the application searches for the predefined key words. 4. If no access code is identified, the application presents all numbers in the location field as the possible conference bridge number. 5. When you select a number to use as the conference bridge, the request is sent to the Avaya ACE Mobile Cost Optimizer (MCO) service. 6. If the application did not identify an access code in the location field, the mobility device presents all the numbers in the location field as possible access codes, excluding the number you selected as the conference bridge and any numbers that start with If the request is accepted, the mobile device presents the option to play the access code into the call when the call is answered.
