1. LITERATURE REVIEW David, Cerotic, Daniel (1987) Recovery of guest virtual machines after failure of a host real machine.this research was based on the failover and recovery of the virtual machine in case of failure of the main physical host machine in which the virtual machine was deployed and all the applications were running there. There were different ways identified and proposed there for the proper and error free failover of the virtual machine from one host to another host. This article really helped me a lot to understand the failover process and earlier problems exist with the solution. Damian L. (1996) Allocation of address spaces within virtual machine compute system. This research work based on the address space allocated to a virtual machine on a physical host, since on a single physical host all the virtual machine shared a single address space. We create multiple virtual machines on a single host and any first guest creation request respond to the address space by the first application running on the first guest virtual machine to allocate and address space, so address space shared between the multiple virtual machines on a single host and shared in the proper ration as defined. Flynn, Jr, Thomas John ( 2002 ) Method of and apparatus for sharing dedicated devices between virtual machine guests.a virtual machine VMID is uniquely associated with a virtual guest and along with the request sent to the storage controller to release or reserve to a direct access storage device also called DSAD. So from the performance point of perspectives the preferref VG ( virtual guest ) of a single host processor share the DASD. Thein, Chi Sung-Do, Sou Jong ( 2002 ) Enhancing Embedded Software System Reliability using Virtualization Technology. Today the embedded systems are going to became a important part of daily life but the complexity of this embedded system software s is a challenge for the system reliability. To make a better functional based environment the demand of embedded systems are going increased day by day and to get the reliability for such a system is a great challenge. This research work was based on the methods to achieve reliability for embedded systems using the virtualization technology. Fernandez Vilas Julio, Jose Pazos Arias, Fernandez Vilas ( 2004 ) VWS: Applying virtualization techniques to Web Services. The world of web services are very vast and the use and demand of web services are going to increase day by day due to the portability and functionality of web services. This research work was based on hypotheses that how a technique can be developed using the concept of Saas and QoS using the virtualization.
Lei Sun, Nakajima Tatsuo ( 2004 ) Diagnosis Support of Embedded Systems based on Virtualization. As a we know the demand of embedded systems are increasing rapidly and research work is going on in the field to design the highly available embedded systems using the virtualization, this research work was based on the concept where the runtime metrics were collected for a physical host which is running multiple virtual machines for the diagnostic purpose and to create a better performance metrics based on the data collected. Marta Najda Janoszka ( 2005 ) Impact of virtualization process on the competitiveness of small and medium sized firms.this research work was based on the impact of the virtualization on the small and medium size firms. Since virtualization provided the great features for an organization in terms of cost as well as labor work but it s applicable for the very big organizations and for small and medium sized firms still its not confirm if the virtualization is really helpful or not since it contains lots of complexities also. Sung-Do Chi, Jong Sou Park ( 2006 ) Availability Modeling and Analysis on Virtualized Clustering with Rejuvenation. Since recovery and downtime is the major concern specially in the field of information technology and lots of systems and terms are already defined to get the high availability and to get the error free and fast failover either in term of application or in term of machines or severs. Clustering is provides the way to provided the high availability by running same redundant services in parallelso that in case of failure of one on the service other will take over. Lee Wonhyuk, Cho Yong-Suk, Hyuncheol Kim ( 2006 ) A Virtualization and Management Architecture for Carrier Ethernet Network. We have lots of network technologies and types exist in the market since lots of research work is already completed and lots more going on in the field of network, with yearly increasing demand of public and private networks recently the demand of a private network has increased in the field of science technology or you can say science technology research network. So as per the demand of market and trend, the demand of a framework management network has also increased from the NOC perspectives in carrier Ethernet based science technology research network.
Insoon Jo, Im Y. Jung, Heon Y. Yeoma ( 2006 ) Workload-aware VM Scheduling on Multicore Systems. Since in a virtual environment where we run multiple virtual machines on a single physical host performance interference between virtual machines is a big challenge in the field of virtualization. In this research work there were a workload aware virtual machine scheduler were introduced on multi core systems which finds the mapping of virtual machines related with the the physical host. Bennett; Steve, Anderson John ( 2006 ) Control register access virtualization performance improvement in the virtual-machine architecture.since performance is still the big challenge in the field of virtualization this research was done related with the performance with respect to the access of registers by the multiple virtual machines. How the register call managed in the multi virtual machine environment and how the virtual machine calls the register or specific portion of the register. Ramona A, Razvan R. ( 2006 ) A Perspective on the Benefits of Data Virtualization Technology. This research work was based on the integration of virtualization technology with the data integration technology. Data integration and maintenance is a big and costive way which includes the feeds in the applications, reporting, analysis etc which required time and consume more resources. This research work were done to provided the benefits of combining the virtualization with data integration. Bala Anju ( 2007 ) A Survey of Various Workflow Scheduling Algorithms in Cloud Environment. Today every organization is building up their environment with the enterprises business applications development because enterprise applications can facilitates the proper execution of the workflows in business process execution management. Virtualization is key component and have important role in the field of cloud computing and this research work was based on the survey of the workflow scheduling in a virtualized cloud environment. Bheda Hitesh A. ( 2008 ) Performance Optimization of Workload usage with Virtualization in Cloud Computing Environment.Today the process of integration and implementation of the applications is very slow and
rigid and which require a long time to build, deploy and activate an application and which also required a domain specific expertise. Cloud computing is a current latest build deployment environment which delivered the services on demand like services, softwares, hardwares etc in a very flexible manner and virtualization has increased the productivity of cloud computing several times. Udeze Chidiebele. C, Okafor Kennedy.C ( 2008 ) Effective Security Architecture for Virtualized Data Center Networks. Virtualization is the new and key concept in the field of information technology but since it s a new technology so there are lots of assumptions are exist with the security of the virtualized data center networks. There were lots of architecture presented like integration of Open Flow Software Defined Networking (OFSDN) with VLAN Virtual Server Security (VVSS) were addressed to address the security issues in the virtualized data center. This research work was based on the security issues on the virtualized networks. Mahmoud Abaza, Daryl Allenby ( 2008 ) Assessment of the potential for virtual computing environments to supply a responsive and environmentally responsible alternative client computing environment.during this research paper, two major and current prominent ideas are addressed in computer science in term of combined potential to provide alternates solutions for traditional desktop environments. Here the ideas of green computing and virtualization were combined to present a production model of new virtual desktop environments. Soran; Philip E. (Eden Prairie, MN), Guider; John P. (North Oaks, MN) ( 2009 ) Virtual disk drive system and method.a disk drive is the main subsystem of a computer system and it may includes RAIS subsystem which included the pool of storages like the metrix of storage blocks or a page pool of storage. Storage has a great importance in the field of virtualization and this research work was based on the concept of the virtualization of the storage drives. Khandekar, Dilip, Petkovic; Dragutin (Saratoga, CA) ( 2009 ) Provisioning of computer systems using virtual machines. This research work based on the different ideas of provisioning the virtual machines on a single physical server. It was assumed to develop a provisioning system which will take the inputs from the end user and will configure and deploy the virtual machine according to the inputs on a host. Further the research work were also included the monitoring of virtual machine and migration of virtual machines between the hosts. Fujiwara; Shinji, Sagawa; Nobutoshi Kong ( 2009 )
System and method for virtualizing a distributed network storage as a single-view file system.storage has a great role in the field of virtualization, just like we do the virtual partations of the server resources, in the same way we do the virtualization of the hardware storage also which looks like a single storage to the client end. This research work was based on the subject to identify the systems to provide the storage virtualization in the field of machines virtualization. Shetty Jyothi ( 2009 ) A Survey on Techniques of Secure Live Migration of Virtual Machine. Live migration of the virtual machines from one host to another host is still the hot topic in the field of virtualization. Since there is no perfect way to identify the failure of primary machine and also due to lack if techniques to make proper coordination between primary and secondary failover machine. This research work was based on to identify the techniques for the secure migration of virtual machines from primary to failover machine. Patil S.V and Honwadkar K.N ( 2009 ) Unified Virtual Storage: Virtualization of Distributed Storage in a Network. This research work based on the techniques to efficiently utilize the free disk space on the connected networked machines. Since in the usual way we do reserved some amount of space to a machine and the unused space sits ideal there, in same way lots of storage space reserverd and sits ideal on the several machines, so a new way were proposed to utilize such ideal space by using on shared basis on networked machines. Bhukya Devi Prasad, Ramachandram S., Chaitra E. ( 2009 ) A Novel Methodology for Benchmarking the Hypervisors over Heterogeneous Workloads - Multi Vari Approach. This research work purposed a very interesting and important way on benchmarking the hypervisors over an heterogeneous work loads. Bhardwaj Sushil, Jain Leena,Jain Sandeep ( 2009 ) An Approach for Investigating Perspective of Cloud Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).Cloud computing further extending the area of virtualization, SOA, Webcenter, Information technology management etc and bringing new paths to extend dimension un utility computing. Cloud computing provide an web interface for your application so you don t have to worried about the hardwar s and softwares and you have to only use services as a service. With virtualization it combines lots of facilities and inhancements and colud computing can be categories further as SaaS, IaaS, Paas and SaaS. Kumar Pradeep, Saini Anil K ( 2009 )
Monitoring the control parameters of IT infrastructure elements.today we are moving towards the world of virtualization and cloud computing and innovating further new ideas but monitoring of the control parameters of your infrastructure is also an important part. This research work was based on the same assumptions on how to make an effective control over these highly efficient technologies. Patra Manas Ranjan ( 2009 ) This research work was based on to find out new techniques and technologies in the field of virtualization. We all know that the virtualization has been accepted widely and implemented also by large scale of organizations but still there is lots of thing need to revise further in terms of performance or efficiency. Cloud computing is the next enhancement in the field of virtualization. Virtualization techniques reduced the cost in terms of hardware s and software s but still some complications are there like still there is no proper way to judge the failure of primary machine and this cause impact the failover capabilities. Shamsolmoali Pourya, Alam M.Afshar ( 2010 ) This research work introduced the concept of cloud service model overview and discussed on the way to designed a platform for a virtual group of scientist to explain and display their achievements on the internet. Cloud computing has been defined and designed by the independent third party body and now after the development of cloud computing and internet become a new network manufacturing mode. Hiteshi Atif ( 2010 ) Virtualization is the new and key concept in the field of information technology but since it s a new technology so there are lots of assumptions are exist with the security of the virtualized data center networks.
