The rates specified herein entitle subscribers to an unlimited number of messages to all stations bearing the designation of central offices within the serving exchange and additional exchanges as shown in A3.6, Local Calling Areas B. The following Statewide Schedule of s is applicable to Flat Main Station Line Service which is available only on an individual line (one-party) basis: 1. Area Calling Service is an optional offering that provides local calling from the subscriber s home wire center to all Company wire centers and participating Independent Company wire centers within a 40 mile radius based on airline mileage, in addition to the existing local calling area described in A3.6. The offering of this service is subject to availability as determined by the Company. B. This service is not available to Company owned or customer provided public telephone subscribers. C. Customers subscribing to Area Calling Service will be provided an access line and usage package as described following. D. The access line for Residence and Business service is provided at the following rate. All other services offering Area Calling Service are provided for in the appropriate sections of this Guidebook. 1. Access Line (a) (Obsoleted, See Section A103) (b) Business $ NA E. In addition to the access line, customers receive the following usage package. 1. (Obsolete, See A103.) 2. Option 2 - Area Calling Service 1 with Discount This option includes a $6.00 usage allowance on all calls terminating in Bands A, B, C and D. Local calls are billed in accordance with the usage schedule described in F., at a 20 percent discount on the total usage charges, in addition to the off-peak discount described in J. Billed usage charges, above the allowance, will not exceed $9.00 per Residence line and $24.00 per Business line, trunk, or ESSX service, MultiServ PLUS service, or BellSouth Centrex service NAR for calls terminating in Bands A, B, C and D with the following exception. Local usage charges for Shared Tenant Service, hospital patient rooms and hotel guest rooms will not be capped. The following charge is in addition to the access line rate. Provided facilities are available and technical equipment allows, extension line service will be furnished in the foreign exchange. The charge quoted in Section A13 for channels for extension line applies for each station. F. The Local Service of, and Long Distance rates to and from, main stations or PBX, Centrex Type Services systems connected for foreign exchange service are the same as regularly apply to stations located in the foreign exchange area. G. Where Foreign Exchange Service is provided at a location outside the exchange area boundary of the exchange from which service is desired and said location is not within the exchange area of another exchange or where the applicant for Foreign Exchange Service is so located that it would be more economical to the Company to provide the Foreign Exchange Service direct from the foreign exchange to applicant's location by the extension or utilization of existing plant, the foreign exchange mileage charge will apply as follows: For the distance from the applicant's location to the Center of the foreign exchange area from which service is to be furnished a mileage charge as specified in A9.1.3 applies. H. Foreign Exchange Service may be furnished involving two areas of the Company or involving an area of the Company and an area of a connecting company when the connecting company is willing to concur in arrangements for furnishing such service. Where the connecting company provides billing for its portion of the Foreign Exchange Service, the charges will be in accordance with the connecting company's rates, terms and conditions. I. Where alternate full period Foreign Exchange Service is provided, an intercept arrangement may be furnished which transfers the foreign exchange number to a receiving only local number when the service is in the full period condition. This arrangement contemplates a standard termination in a handset, key equipment or PBX and is furnished at the rates and charges as specified in A J. Foreign Central Office Service is exchange service furnished to a subscriber in a multioffice exchange from a central office other than the one from which service would normally be furnished. B. Foreign Central Office Service is offered in connection with Individual Line Main Station Service, PBX Service and Centrex Type Services only. C. Other services, equipment or facilities used in connection with Foreign Central Office Service, except as otherwise indicated in this Guidebook, are furnished subject to the rates, terms and conditions applying in the foreign central office from which the subscriber is served. D. Alternate routing of this service may be provided on a direct serve basis to the subscriber's premises from the requested foreign central office on an individual case basis as specified in Section A5., subject to the following conditions: 1. The subscriber must maintain a minimum of fifty percent of the trunks/lines from the central office from which service would normally be furnished. 2. s and charges for all components of the service will continue to apply as specified in A9.2.2.A. and B. following, except that rates for Type 2145 channels do not apply. The monthly rate for the class of service desired will be that applicable from the foreign central office, however, the rate will be no less than that applicable had the service been provided from the normal serving wire center. Additionally, rates and charges as specified in Section A5. for the construction of facilities from the foreign central office to the subscriber's premises will apply. A9.2.2 s And s A. Methods Of Applying s The rate for Foreign Central Office Service is the monthly rate for the class of service desired, plus a foreign central office mileage charge as shown in A9.2.2.B. following, for the distance, airline measurement, between the central office from which the subscriber would normally be served and the foreign central office, i.e., the central office from which the subscriber desires to be served. In addition, the subscriber is charged any zone charges which would apply for connection with the central office from which service normally would be rendered. B. J. Service Installation and Rearrangement Service Installation and Rearrangement charges are applicable for receiving and recording information and/or taking action in connection with a customer's inside move, transfer of service responsibility request, or for processing the necessary data for a change to an existing BellSouth Channelized Trunks Mbps Access Line. Premises Visit s are applicable for Service Establishment and Moves of Service. Only one Premises Visit applies when more then one BellSouth Channelized Trunks Mbps Access Line is moved or installed at the same premises at the same time. 1. A General A. Classroom Communication Service provides local access service for in-classroom voice and data communications. It is intended only as a communications link between classrooms for the purpose of enhancing the education process by allowing one or more teachers to conduct classes at multiple locations and to access various informational databases. A Terms, Conditions and s A. Back-Up Line is an optional service which provides individual line business subscribers with an additional line which is available for inward and outward calling. B. This service is only available to individual line business subscribers, where facilities permit. Back-Up Line service cannot be used as the primary business line, and must be located on the same premises as the business individual line service with which it is associated. Back-Up Line will not be available to Classroom Communication Service. C. Each Back-Up Line can receive calls forwarded from one busy primary line or hunt group at no charge. This overflow capability will be provided on the forwarding line. If a customer subscribes to more than one Back-Up Line, these Back-Up Lines may be provisioned in an overflow group at no charge. Overflow capability may not be provided from a Back-Up Line or group of Back-Up Lines to other lines on the same premises. D. Overflow capability from additional primary lines or hunt groups to Back-Up Line service will be provided on the forwarding line. 1. Overflow to Back-Up Line from each additional flat, measured, or message rate primary line or hunt group will be provided at the rate specified for Grouping Service. (a) See A BULRX 2. Overflow to Back-Up Line from each additional Area Calling Service primary line or hunt group will be provided at the rate specified for Grouping Service. (a) See A BULSX E. A directory listing is not furnished with Back-Up Lines. However, a directory listing may be purchased, if desired, at the rates specified in Section A6. F. Usage charges are applied for all incoming and outgoing calls associated with Back-Up Line service, as described in H. and I., with the following exceptions. No usage charges apply to calls completed to the Company Business Office, Repair Service, or Emergency 911 Service. s for calls to Directory Assistance will be billed at the rates shown in A3.13 or A18. Usage Based Pricing primary lines will be billed their appropriate usage charges for all calls which overflow to a Back-Up Line.
