1 User Manual for TD105 Part I: Features: 1. Stackable Design 2. Great capacity: TD105 can store up to 8 groups of 62-digit calling card numbers. 3. Compatible: Both prepaid calling card and postpaid call service are available. 4. Easy Programming: Dialers can be programmed manually using the keypad of telephone set. 5. Auto Reroute: Local/long distance/idd calls with certain prefix numbers can be rerouted to corresponding calling cards automatically. 6. Ending Code attachment: The auto dialer can add end code # automatically after the destination number 7. IVR and DTMF Tone Detection mode IVR and DTMF tone can be detected in each step. It can assure the speed and stability of the connection. 8. Adjustable Dialing Speed: Users can adjust the dialing time and interval time of each digit to get the fast available speed. 9. High Point: Ring and Dialing Tone Detect Function: This function can avoid problems like sending out false number and disconnection when answering call. 10. Temporary Bypass/Bypass switch It would bypass all the gateways set in the auto dialer and use traditional telecommunication service temporarily when add a # before a destination number. 11. Large Activation/Bypass/Intercept/Block/Delete /Intercept/Block/Delete code: It is useful for different requirements. 12. PBX interface: 1-6

2 Dialers can connect line from phone terminals of the PBX. 13. System password: Dialer can be set 4-digit system password for data lock. 14. Remote Programming: Dialers can be programmed remotely through PSTN line. PART II: Installation Easy plug-in installation 1. Plug the PSTN line into the dialer s LINE port 2. Connect the dialer s TEL port with your telephone/fax 3. No battery needed and no external power connection 4. The RED LED will light on when the dialer is powered. The GREEN LED will light on when the dialer is working. PART III: Operation Guide When auto-dialer is being programmed, certain tones will be generated. A single ~du sound means the command entered is correct, while a double ~ du~du sound means the command entered is bad/rejected. If it is for the first time that you modify an auto dialer, please use the system restoration instruction to reset for default values. 1. Enter into system Users should press *** to enter into the system configuration. Users need not hang up the handset after configuring one step, just do step by step. If it has been hang up, users have to enter *** another time to enter into system. 2. System password/personal password 2.1 Setting: **3* password*, the password should be 4 digits 2.2 Enter into system when there is password: *# 4-digit password 2.3 Deleting: **3** 2.4 Personal password: If the auto dialer is for multi users, each user should set a personal use password for his/her own card: *3*N**4-digit password*, N is the group number of card 2.5 Making a call with personal use card *#4-digit password + destination number 3. System Reset To erase all the configuration and restore the dialer for factory default value, pick up the phone, press **91*, then hear ~du sound and hang up. 2-6

3 NOTICE: Please be careful when using this setting, as it will eliminate all the configurations and restore the system to the default status. 4. Access number setting 4.1 Simple setting: If there is only access number but no card number and PIN code, set as following: *9*N**access number** If there is voice prompt and DTMF tone after the access number, the IVR and DTMF tone detection command should be added: *8N*7** 4.2 Full Setting: *9*N**access number* card number* PIN code** N is the group number, 8 groups of access numbers can be set at the most. 4.3 Deleting: *2*N** N is the card group number. This command would delete the N group of calling card. 5. Activation/ Bypass/Intercept/Block/Delete code setting 5.1 Activation Code Setting:**5N* prefix1*prefix2* prefixm** N is the group number, from 1 to 8, the phone numbers with these prefixes will use the N group of card Bypass Code Setting: **50* prefix1*prefix2* prefixm** The phone numbers with the prefix1, prefix2, prefix N will bypass the calling cards and go through PSTN line Bypass the calling cards temporarily: dial # before the destination number Quit auto dialer use: ##*0 All call numbers will go through PSTN line after the setting Re-active auto dialer use: ##*1 5.3 Intercept Code Setting: **59* prefix1*prefix2* prefixm** The call numbers with these prefixes will be deleted the prefixes, and the rest numbers that users dial will be rerouted to corresponding card according to the prefix digits of the rest numbers. 5.4 Block Code Setting: **5** prefix1*prefix2* prefixm** The phone numbers with prefix1, prefix2,, prefixm are forbidden to dial out. 5.5 Delete Code setting: **5*#prefix1*prefix2* prefixm** The call numbers with prefix1, prefix2,, prefixm will be deleted the prefix digits and dialed out through PSTN line. 5.6 Delete some digits of users dial number: *0N*XY* N is the card group number, the numbers from the X digit to X+Y-1 digit will be deleted. E.g.: *01*23*, when user dial , the sending out number is X,Y is from 0 to IVR and DTMF tone detection mode setting: IVR and DTMF tone can be detected in each step. It can assure the speed and stability of the connection. 3-6

4 *8N*X**, N is the group number, X is the detection mode. 6.1 X=0 There is access number only, not detect voice prompt or DTMF tone. 6.2 X=1 Not detect IVR after access number and other steps, but detect IVR before destination number. 6.3 X=4 Detect IVR after access number, but not detect IVR after other steps and before destination number. 6.4 X=5 Detect IVR after access number and before destination number, but not detect IVR after other steps. 6.5 X=6 Detect IVR after access number and other steps, but not detect IVR before destination number. 6.6 X=7 Detect IVR in each step. If there is only access number, the default mode is X=0; if there is access number, card number and PIN code, the default mode is X= Detecting IVR sensitivity setting: **29M* M is from 0 to 7, 7 is the most sensitive. The default value is 3, the less sensitivity can assure the stability of the dialing, suitable for weak PSTN line or strong IVR gateway environments; the higher sensitivity can speed up the dialing. 7. Time delay and dialing speed setting: If there is IVR or DTMF tone after the access number and other steps, and the voice prompt will not stop when dialing some digits, time delay should be added. 7.1 Time delay setting: *5*N*A B C D E F* A, B, C, D, E, F is the delay time after detecting IVR or DTMF tone in each step of the card. Users can set 6 delay times at the most. The delay time should be 2 digits, from 0.0 to 9.9 seconds. 00 means no time delay. E.g.: *9*1**200*(A)1*(B) #*(C)123456#*(D)2*(E)* If it needs 2 seconds of time delay in A step only: *5*1*20* If it needs 0.8 seconds of time delay in E step: *5*1* * 7.2 Dialing speed adjustment: **4*XY* X is duration of dialing one digit, Y is interval time between two digits. X, Y =0, 1, 2, *, #, 0 =250ms is the longest, # =35ms is the shortest. The default value is X, Y =5, the time is 75ms **28MY* M, Y =0, 1, 2,, 9 (M+1) 40ms is the dialing duration time of the first digits after each * in the card setting. (Y+1) 80ms is the dialing duration time for the 1st digit of the destination number. 8. Remote programming 4-6

5 Make sure that the dialer has been connected correctly before programming. End users call to the service center, after connection for 15seconds, the service center press *# 4-digit password and can hear a du~, and then the service part can continue the configuration as usual. The configuration side press *#1234 to enter into the remote setting if there is no system password, 9. PBX Setting: If it is used in PBX system, extension line code is required. The setting is as following: 9.1 **81N* *81N* N is the extension line code To reset the dialer to direct PSTN line mode: 9.2 **81* 10. Ending code setting: 10.1 Ending code setting: *6*N# N is the card group number. # will be added automatically as ending code after the call number. The default value is adding # as ending code Cancel Ending code: *6*N* Users have to dial a # after the call number to send the phone number out Auto-add ending code time setting: **21T*, T is the time delay before adding ending code, the time unit is second. 11. Balance checking: 11.1 Check the default card balance: #* 11.2 Check the balance of N group of card: ##N 12. Other useful settings: 12.1 Simulative connection beep setting: **201* There will be beep sound before getting connected. It is useful for those gateways which need long time to get connected. Also, it can help users make sure that the call goes through the card Dialing restriction after making a call: **22#* Users can not dial out any digits after the called party hang up. Busy tone will generate if any digit dialed **22M*, M=1, 2,, 9 Users can dial out only M digits after the called party hang up. Busy tone will generate if more than M digit dial Ring and Dialing Tone Detect: This function can avoid problems like sending out false number and disconnection when answering call. **27M* The default value is #. If there is incoming call ringing, the auto dialer will not start work. When making a call, the dialer will start work if there is dialing tone; if there is not dialing tone, cut down the call to avoid sending out a wrong number. 5-6

E.g.: User dial , the auto dialer will send out #-5678# and get connected. 6-6
