29 Maximum demand optimization (demand control) Optimization controller EM-MC 2200 Maximum Controller The EM-MC 2200 Maximum Controller serves as a user-friendly power demand monitor with a power trend calculation function and an optimized switching strategy to prevent the set maximum power (target) demand from being exceeded. Description FRAKO Maximum Demand Controllers ensure maximum savings of active power without disrupting operation. They operate just as well in small stand-alone systems with only a few loads as in major installations with a power demand of several megawatts. They are combined to work with other modular components of the FRAKO Energy Management System to meet specific requirements. Power-dependent control application point to prevent unnecessary load-shedding at the start of the measurement interval Individual adjustment of the connected loads to suit operating conditions by setting priorities, min./max. OFF times and min. ON times per channel To make best use of seasonal demand fluctuations, the self-adapting target demand adjusts itself dynamically to suit the operating conditions of the month concerned. Reducing the target demand at the beginning of the accounting interval combined with the automatic selfadapting function makes additional savings possible in months with low peak loads Formation of switching channel groups for strict compliance with the set priorities 'Traffic light' function: 3 switching channels can be used for signal lamps as a visual guide to demand conditions Emergency load-shedding mode for maintaining the maximum demand even with critical load constellations Connection of intelligent terminals (Wago) to switch off loads Connection of KNX/EIB components via FRAKO Network Coupler NK1 to switch off loads Timer for switching loads to a time schedule or to set time-dependent target demands Storage of the following data in a ring memory: - - Average values per interval over 20,000 intervals including the target power applicable at the end of the interval and the time stamp - - Daily maximum values over 500 days including time stamp - - Monthly maximum values over 48 months ,000 switching cycles Configuration and presentation of momentary and historical measurement readings using Device Manager software (in scope of supply) Display of the measurement readings and the power factor triangle in an EM-FD 2500 Display (an optional graphic display instrument). The Display is connected to the EM-MC 2200 Maximum Controller with a four-core cable. Up to 6 additional EM devices can be viewed at one Display. Product Catalogue EM 173

39 Mains monitoring Mains analysis devices for top-hat rail mounting EM-PQ 2300 Power Quality Analyzer A network monitoring instrument for the acquisition, monitoring and analysis of electrical variables in installations up to 690 V (phasephase) with 5 current transformer inputs and 5 voltage inputs. Description Long-term network analysis as per EN or EN Monitoring of short voltage dips Data records can be selected by the user, for example for analysis of the demand profile Display of measurement readings and waveforms graphically in the EM-FD 2500 Display (optional instrument). The Display is connected to the EM-PQ 2300 Power Quality Analyser by a 4-core cable. Up to 7 EM-PQ 2300 instruments can be served by one EM-FD 2500 Display Inputs: 5 current transformer inputs for L1, L2, L3, N and PE 5 voltage inputs for L1, L2, L3, N and PE, up to 690 V 4 S0 pulse inputs for tariff changeover and trigger input for synchronizing energy metering with the utility company and for acquisition of pulses, status signals and alarms Outputs: 1 alarm contact for up to 230 V AC 2 digital outputs as status contacts for signalling alarms. The outputs are galvanically separated and can work with voltages up to 30 V DC 2 analogue outputs for any desired variables as 0 20 ma, 4 20 ma or 0 10 V signals, operated by internal power supply Interfaces: - - RS485 bus for connection to FRAKO Energy Management System - - Ethernet (RJ45 jack) for internal FRAKO communication with the FRAKO Energy Management System. The internal alarm system can send s via the Ethernet Housed in an enclosure with a pin strip underneath it. This system, consisting of pin and socket strips and DIN rail bus connectors, enables the individual modules to be easily fitted and connected to one another. It is possible to plug individual instruments in or remove them without dismantling the modular assembly. The bus connector allows the Display-Bus, FRAKO Bus and extension bus to be connected. All connections are also available at external terminals at the top of the instrument for conventional wiring. Product Catalogue EM 183

119 Software Cost center handling software EMIS Report Cost Center Handling Software Cost Center Handling Software with EMIS Report Cost Center Handling Software with EMIS Report. Description The consumption data acquired by the FRAKO Energy Management System can be read to an Excel workbook from the SQL databases FRAKO-NET DB or FRAKO EMIS-DB. The period covered by the evaluation can be selected as desired. Individual loads or metering units can be combined into load groups or cost centres and evaluated according to differing time schedules. Customer-specific reports are easy to create by selecting appropriate cells. This achieves optimized transparency for the utility flows within the company. With EMIS report, data from the FRAKO data base can be read out in an excel-file and are herewith available for a customer specific analysis. A useful tool for the allocation of costs for each divisions or purchaser and for the controlling of a company. Utility cost transparency. Assigning costs to the originators Accurate classification of the costs of providing capacity Transparency of all utility flows in the company Achievement of the best possible cost-effectiveness Automatic evaluation with notification by , as CSV file if required An optimized reduction of utility costs is only possible if the information is available on how much energy is being used when and where. The knowledge of the utility consumption of individual cost centres is a prerequisite for determining and implementing potential cost-cutting measures. EMIS Report provides you with a structured overview of the consumption of all utilities in your company, such as power, water, gas, compressed air, etc., so that you can make a financial analysis of these figures. Individual loads or metering units can be combined into load groups or cost centres and evaluated according to differing time schedules. Product Catalogue EM 263
