General goals of a power management system: to identify savings potential to reduce power costs to ensure power availability through transparency of the momentary conditions and through comprehensive power assignments and evaluations. SENTRON powermanager The SENTRON powermanager power management software is an independent power management software can be operated with a PC and measuring instruments with Ethernet connection is expandable from the simple standard application to a fully flexible customer solution is fully scalable with regard to the number of devices and to the software's functions ensures the optimum integration of measuring instruments from the SENTRON PAC range, SENTRON 3WL/3VL circuit breakers and other devices SENTRON powermanager is designed for: collecting monitoring evaluating presenting archiving power data from SENTRON PAC3100, PAC3200 and PAC4200 power monitoring devices, SENTRON 3WL/3VL circuit breakers, and any Modbus-capable detecting devices. The components are optimally coordinated with each other. For example, special drivers for the SENTRON devices are integrated in the SENTRON powermanager software so that on the one hand the power data acquisition can take place without any great configuration effort and on the other hand the most important measured values or states are indicated by predefined displays. This reduces the amount of engineering work. The SENTRON powermanager software comprises a server/client software for the acquisition, processing, presentation and archiving of power data. These power data are supplied primarily by power monitoring devices (PAC) or 3WL/3VL circuit breakers which are connected to the system through Ethernet. 6 E-Counters PAC1500 three-phase counters Overview 3-phase counter PAC 1500 (7KT1 543) with direct connection up to 80 A The E-counters (power meters) are used to record the amount of electrical energy exported or imported. Siemens compact E-counters are designed as modular devices for alternating current and can be mounted on standard mounting rails. They comply with the counter standard EN (Part 1 and 3) and come with an LCD display. Three-phases counters are available up to 80 A and in versions with transformer connections ( /5 A to 10000/5 A). E-counters store both active and reactive energy, and comply with accuracy class 1 (for active energy). All E-counters have a pulse output (S0) and are designed for 2-tariff measurements. The calibrated versions are in accordance with the Directive 2004/22/EC on measuring instruments. At the same time the E-counters have an integrated optical interface (IrDA) for connecting communication modules, which enables their integration in a range of other systems, such as energy management systems. They store both active and reactive energy and all comply with accuracy class 1 (for active energy). The calibrated versions are in accordance with the Directive 2004/22/EC on measuring instruments. They have the following features: The expansion modules can be selected independently of the E-counter. Retrofitting of already installed E-counters is therefore possible if required. Data transmission between the E-counters and the expansion modules takes place through the IrDA infrared interface. PAC3000 multimeters Multimeters are mainly used in power distribution boards for infeeds into buildings and plants. They replace the more common analog voltmeters and ammeters with measuring point changeover, as well as measuring devices for power outputs and power factor p.f.. The standard measured quantity to be indicated in the 5 display fields of the multimeter can be tailored to customer requirements. Versions for direct connection (63 A) or for transformers (/5 A) with adjustable transformer primary current from 5 A to 5000 A, enable a wide range of application. The green 7-segment displays for the measured values and the orange indicators of the units of measurement directly alongside the measured values make for easy reading.
