SmartConnect is an automatic meter reading system that is a complete end to end solution, from electricity meter, Sigfox AMR, Software and connectivity all packed in a pre-wired enclosure. We have removed the need for onsite commissioning and complicated installation processes. It is as simple as connecting the mains to the box and then turning on the power, the data will then come through immediately. We have moved away from traditional GPRS SIM based technologies and developed devices that will communicate on the Sigfox network. This reduces the hardware cost and data costs considerably, which allow us to offer a competitive end to end solution.

SIGFOX provides a cellular style network operator that provides a tailor-made solution for low-throughput Internet of Things and M2M applications. For a host of applications from smart meters to control nodes that need connectivity over long ranges the only option until recently has been to use a cellular connection. This option has several disadvantages because cellular phone systems are focussed on voice and high data rates. They are not suited to low data rate connections as the radio interface is complex and this adds cost and power consumption - too much for most M2M / IoT applications. The SIGFOX network is aimed at providing connectivity for a variety of applications and users. It is not aimed at one area, but at being for general use by a variety of different types of users. The SIGFOX network performance is characterised by the following: Up to 140 messages per object per day Payload size for each message is 12 bytes Wireless throughput up to 100 bits per second We have partnered with PAD technology and their emig platform. This is an online tool for remotely measuring and monitoring the data from the SmartConnect product. emig can provide warnings via and SMS messaging of system failures and abnormal events. emig records meter readings every half hour and makes them immediately available on-line - offering a powerful platform for managing metering and sub-metering for both domestic and commercial users. The emig platform now supports monitoring of import, export and generation for a property, giving customers the opportunity to maximise their use of generated electricity in an informed manner, or to make an informed claim on the export tariff. The SMARTRAIL-SDL Datalogger is a low-cost solution for remotely monitoring Smart Process digital power meters equipped with Modbus RS485 RTU. This devices utilizes the SIGFOX network to transfer data wirelessly from meter to the cloud. This data can be presented using our software, or if preferred, it can be provided in a raw format such as a CSV file allowing you to present the data through your own software. SIGFOX is a leading cellular network dedicated to low-bandwidth communications for connected devices. Its technology is particularly suited to connecting objects requiring a low-cost data transfer. This technology also eradicates the requirement for a SIM card. The SMARTRAIL-SDL is specifically designed to enable a simple, low cost, remote wireless management solution that does not require specialist technical skills for installation. The SMARTRAIL-SDL can take up to 3 parameter inputs through Modbus RS485 from the following list: Total Active Energy (Σ kwh) Import Active Energy (kwh) Export Active Energy (kwh) Current (A) Voltage (V) Instantaneous Power (kw) Power Factor (PF) (Hz) This can be 3 parameters from 1 meter, or 1 parameter per meter from 3 meters.

This mechanism compares each PV system with the 10 geographically closest systems, taking into account the system size (kw peak), the pitch and orientation of your solar modules and any shading (trees, telephone wires etc) on your PV installation.
