It arrived in a little box with just the HDMI stick to go in the TV and a remote, but the instruction guide was just a tiny pamphlet with little instruction. It wasn't too hard to plug it in but was a little overwhelming when I navigated to the screen. I had hoped to use the Fire stick to replace my cable plan which had really gotten out of hand. It looked like it would at least do part of that job but a lot wasn't self-explanatory. I went hunting back on for more information and I was pleased to find this little book available free for Kindle Unlimited. I was really surprised when I actually got into the book and saw that it had everything I might want to know about the Fire stick, but also had an excellent starter guide on how to get a lot more out of your internet and get rid of cable. I decided to keep a copy of this guide since it turned out to be an all-in-one book for me. Now I'm going through the steps regarding my Fire stick and when get done with that I'm going to start exploring options for an inexpensive antenna and maybe the upcoming possibilities of Sling TV. I've seen a few others out there that divide all this info into separate books and sometimes make you pay for each one. I'm really glad I picked this book instead and I recommend it to others whether you already have Fire TV, the Fire TV stick, or are just thinking about it. You've got nothing to lose! You will like this guide if you are like a lot of us out there who suffer through their cable subscriptions and know there's a better way but have never found a complete and easy to understand description of what you are supposed to do about it. This guide not only describes basic set-up information but helps us neophytes get how devices like Fire TV Stick, subscriptions, TVs, and mobile phones work together, or could work together. Sellers of these devices and services don't tell you how to integrate them and they assume you know what they offer. Some of us need a resource like this instead of revealing our ignorance. It's also got lots of tips and new services coming out soon that will make you feel like an insider. For a longtime I've wanted to cancel my cable service knowing most TV shows and movies you can

4 now get for free online or through a service like netflix. My problem was having the confidence in what I know to set it all up. The Fire TV Stick looks to be a very simple solution and this User Guide was full of information. With understanding how the Fire Stick works and how to set it up, I feel canceling my cable service is just around the corner. With cable and satellite dishes being so expensive, it's easy to want to look for other options - and there are a lot of options out there. The Fire stick is an alternative similar to Netflix and Hulu, but you can also stream music and store photos on the Fire stick. This book gives you so much information on exactly what the Fire stick is and how it works. Reading this book has given me the information I need to make an educated decision on my television watching experience. I recommend this book to anyone looking for alternatives to cable and who want to learn more about the Fire stick. This book is OK, but it doesn't really have the info I wanted to get. In fairness, I spent 90 minutes on the phone with a tech to get my problem solved, so no book would have addressed that. Definitely needs a table of contents or index because you have to go through the whole book to find what you want. The chapter titles help some. Why you should have and how to use the Fire TV Stick. For non-techies like myself getting new gadgets take me to the nosebleed section and I don't always make full use of all that is available with the purchase.with escalating cable costs my husband and I have been looking at alternate options. After reading this book the Fire TV Stick seems like a good solution. This is an excellent book on the benefits of the Fire TV Stick and how to use it for maximum results. For an approximate 25% of your cable bill, you can have the same or even more than you are getting from cable. The author gives an easy to understand step by step instructions, what to avoid and how to get the best use out of this little "gadget". I have become more and more disillusioned with cable TV and satellite TV, so decided to rather look elsewhere. The issue I had is that I never really knew which direction to turn. Being an avid fan and seeing adverts for Fire TV I wanted to look into it more. After picking up this incredibly informative guide, it helped me make the decision to invest in going the Fire TV route. There is a wealth of information here for the non-technical person without an the fluff and padding that you find in other guides. Definitely recommend to anyone who is tired of having to pay pay pay for substandard

5 content out there. Learned about the different uses of this great device and the different apps available for it. Hulu and Prime are a must and can make this device go a long way. I even learned how to stream from my computer, how to game, and stream music. This book is simple, but it shows you how to make the most of this great device!
