Additional features include an emergency button, a three-level volume control and/or a twocolour LED, depending on the model. They also have a connection for external audio accessories and a robust splash-proof plastic housing. Depending on the digital radio used, they can offer up to six integrated programmable data applications. Particularly interesting for use in police and rescue services is the newly developed Aurelis USB. It was especially designed for fire fighting. Thanks to its extra large PTT, with a short sensing path and precisely defined pressure point, the operation while wearing working gloves is possible. The user can also be flexible in their choice of radio and headset: All Aurelis handheld microphones can be combined, not least with many headsets, for example with the monaural neckband headset from the NB Series. They are convenient and safe to wear, provide maximum safe mobility and an excellent voice quality.
