2 User's Manual Thank you for purchasing the Tattletale Micro Tracker. Please first read over this manual for proper use. Save this manual and keep it handy. Power On Verify the battery is inside machine and fully charged. Slide button to the left. The green GPS Signal LED indicator blinks on the Tattletale Micro Tracker. Note: The device must be powered on outdoors in order to get signal. Retrieving GPS signal may take up to 5-10 minutes. GPS SIGNAL No GPS Signal: Solid Green Light GPS Signal: Flashing Green Light Battery Battery low: The battery LED Flashes Red Charging: Solid red battery LED Power Off Slide the button on the top of the unit to the middle position which displays OFF. The Lights will then turn off when Tattletale Micro Tracker is powered off. How to Charge Plug USB cable into the Tattletale Micro Tracker for 6-8 hrs. HOW TO GET STARTED 1. Go to the JAVA website and download the latest JAVA.

3 2. Install Tattletale Micro Tracker PC Software. On first use, the user must activate the application. To activate, click 'Help' on menu bar and select 'Activate Tattletale Micro Tracker '. Note: The user is asked to enter details for Software Key and Activation Key (this info is available on the box). Once entered, Tattletale Micro Tracker is activated and ready for use. 3. Charge Tattletale Micro Tracker Before Using the Device: Insert the battery into the Tattletale Micro Tracker and charge the unit by plugging into your computer for at least 6-8 hours before using the tracker. 4. Power on Slide button at the top to the left 5. Get first GPS fix- GPS Green Light will flash 6. Power ON/OFF your Tattletale Micro Tracker. Slide the button to power on/off your Tattletale Micro Tracker. HOW TO PLAYBACK 1. Open Software Program 2. Connect GPS Logger to PC. You will get following popup window:

4 3. Click on 'OK' button Tattletale Micro Tracker software will start downloading data from Tattletale Micro Tracker unit. 4. After successfully reading data, Tattletale Micro Tracker opens Select Track window, following which the report will be generated after checking. After report generation, it opens Trip Info window to specify trip name, vehicle info and driver info. After submitting Current Configuration, it opens Map in right hand side. (Please note that for Map to be displayed, internet connection is required along with the most updated JAVA-ref How to Get Started) 5. Press the play button on the right side of the screen. The

5 screen will then replay the recorded GPS locations. DELETE HISTORY 1. Make sure Device is connected to the PC 2. Open the Software Program 3. Click File 4. Scroll down and select Clear Log CHANGE DISPLAY MILEAGE 1. Make sure Device is connected to the PC 2. Open the Software Program 3. Click Tools 4. Click Options 5. Click Imperial (US Standard View) 6. Set the time DO NOT CHANGE GOOGLE EARTH SETTINGS 7. Press OK

The effectiveness of the Tattletale Micro Tracker device depends on the skill of the operator and configuration, thus it cannot be guaranteed. Tattletale Micro Tracker Limited Warranty The Manufacturer will repair or replace this product with new or refurbished parts from the date of the original purchase in the event of a defect in materials or workmanship, as follows: Materials and Labor: Ninety (90) days from the date of the original purchase. This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser. A purchase receipt or other proof of date of purchase and original purchase receipt will be required before warranty service is rendered. This warranty only covers failures due to defects in materials or workmanship, which occur during normal use as described in this Operator's Manual. The warranty does not cover damage which occurs in shipment or failures which are caused by products that are not supplied by the warrantor or failures which result from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, alteration, maladjustment of consumer controls, modification, rental use of the product, or service by anyone other than a manufacture service person. Opening the sealed portions of the Tattletale Micro Tracker will result in voiding of this warranty. The Manufacturer, its Reseller(s), and Digital Snitch assume no liability associated with the use or misuse of the Tattletale Micro Tracker. Under no circumstances are the Manufacturer, its Reseller(s), Digital Snitch, its officers, agents, employees, or parent companies, liable for any loss, damage, or expenses of any kind arising out of the use, or inability to use, these products, or the suitability of use for any particular task. It is important to follow the procedure; outlined in this manual to ensure safe use of the Tattletale Micro Tracker.
