1 e2c 67 The Centralized IP 67 Distribution System - Suitable for Bus Use This centralized IP67 distribution system - suitable for bus use - is fitted directly on the machine, instead of in a remote cabinet. The system is easy to install and configure, uses a modular design and has universal diagnostic management. e2c 67 supports the Interbus, DeviceNet TM and Profibus DP systems. With "easy to connect it is the user who decides which I/O modules are combined with which bus system. Application The modular field bus station is capable of centralized use in harsh industrial environments. It allows the user to adapt their system in an optimal way to the various I/O configurations of his equipment. Installation The installation of e2c 67 is easy. The modules are locked in position from the top to the Backplane. It is available with four, six and eight slots for the I/O modules. 2 Fieldbus Communications e2c 67 - easy to connect Introduction Module Versions The connectors for the bus and power connection are on the PlugBox. (see figure below) In addition to its function as a mounting plate, the Backplane also functions as the contacting unit. The individual modules access data and power in parallel, so there is no mutual contacting dependency. The BusHead is the central element in the e2c 67 system and is the link between the busneutral I/O modules and the corresponding fieldbus. By using the free Lumberg CoDi (configuration and diagnostic) software, an e2c 67 station can be configured and diagnosed via the serial service interface on the BusHead. The consistent modular commissioning is also confirmed by the possibility of carrying out a complete check of the systems periphery without a bus connection. By doing this, the input and output status can be monitored and individual outputs set. The only components of the e2c 67 system which are dependent on the field bus are the BusHead and the PlugBox. 4 Fieldbus Communications e2c 67 - easy to connect Introduction Environmental Simulations Temperature, water, moisture, dust, vibration and shock are environmental influences to which our electrotechnical products are exposed to in everyday use. These products must be able to resist all these Protection and Vibration Test challenges. Due to these environmental influences, Lumberg conducts tests to simulate what can happen during transport, storage and operation. Consequently, the serviceability of the product is observed.
