Application Note a Setup 13 6 Setup To set up a tool routing application using TACC and Emerson AMS, four major steps are necessary. 6.1 Configuring the PROFIBUS Network in Delta-V If using a PROFIBUS-DP master from Emerson, it is necessary to configure the remote IO in the Delta-V PROFIBUS configurator. The fieldbus coupler and programmable fieldbus controller configuration on the DCS is described below. Install the PROFIBUS GSD file on your DCS and open the Delta-V PROFIBUS configurator. Add a WAGO or PROFIBUS device per drag-anddrop. Assign a PROFIBUS address to the declared PROFIBUS device. Figure 2: Delta-V PROFIBUS Configurator
14 Setup Application Note a Configure the coupler parameters at the bottom of the window [1]. Add all connected modules and adjust the terminal parameters [2]. [2] [1] Figure 3: PROFIBUS Node Configuration with a Analog Module [2] Figure 4: PROFIBUS Node Configuration with a Ex-i Analog Module
Application Note a Setup Parametrization of the HART Analog Module Adjust the configuration of the analog module with regard to the Ex-i analog module to establish HART communication through the PROFIBUS head to the terminal module. Figure 5: Adjusting the Module Configuration for HART Tool Routing Acyclic access to the HMD s should be configured to a12-byte mailbox. TH LINK PROFIBUS Function TH LINK PROFIBUS hardware can be used as a PROFIBUS diagnostic device or a class 2 master. As a diagnostic device, the TH LINK PROFIBUS is passive and can only listen PROFIBUS communication on the bus for diagnostic purposes. For the tool routing application, it is necessary to change the TH LINK PROFIBUS to an active PROFIBUS class 2 master. In this case, the TH LINK PROFIBUS is able to communicate acyclically to the PROFIBUS and to transmit the HART command via PROFIBUS. Open a web browser such as Firefox and enter the IP address of the TH LINK PROFIBUS device as a URL. Change the TH LINK PROFIBUS to an active PROFIBUS subscriber.
16 Setup Application Note a Figure 6: Activating TH LINK PROFIBUS as a Class 2 PROFIBUS Master 6.2 TACC Hardware Configuration The hardware configuration tool can be used to configure PROFIBUS DP master systems which are required for communication via PROFIBUS. Softing PROFIBUS Interface, TH LINK PROFIBUS, xepi, xepi2 are supported. The configuration requires three to four steps: a) Search for/add the PROFIBUS DP master. b) Assign the master to a gateway. c) Parameterize/activate the PROFIBUS DP master. d) Create redundancy pair if needed (for redundant systems only). Gateways Gateways are groups of masters of identical device types. TH LINK PROFIBUS, xepi, xepi2 and PB-XEPI units are assigned to gateways of 1 to 12 devices each. Use of the user interface and configuration of the PROFIBUS DP master will be explained in the following sections.
Application Note a Setup Step-by-Step Configuration of the TACC Gateway Software Select Softing Hardware Configuration as shown in Figure 6. Figure 7: Start Menu Hardware Selection The hardware configuration dialog displays all previously configured hardware. Click the Hardware button to add or modify hardware. Figure 8: Hardware Configuration Tool
18 Setup Application Note a The Add New Hardware dialog opens. Figure 9: Add New Hardware The Configured Hardware area of the Add New Hardware dialog displays the gateways with configured masters. In the Unconfigured Hardware area, new masters can be searched for automatically or added manually. If you want to identify the hardware automatically, click Scan. Existing masters are searched for and listed in the Unconfigured Hardware area. This process can run for some time. If you want to add hardware manually, click Add in the Unconfigured Hardware area. This opens a dialog where you can select the hardware. For TH LINK PROFIBUS, xepi 2, xepi or PB-XEPI, you need to select TH LINK PROFIBUS/xEPI 2. The host name or IP address are required for these units. The Symbolic Node Name is required for Softing PROFIBUS Interface units. Figure 10: Add Hardware manually After adding the hardware, the Add New Hardware dialog opens again. All Softing PROFIBUS Interfaces and TH LINK PROFIBUS/xEPI 2 units are listed in the Unconfigured Hardware area. They need to be assigned manually to a gateway.
Application Note a Setup 19 Click Add in the Configured Hardware area to open the Add Gateway dialog. Figure 11: Add Gateway Define the name of the gateway and select the respective hardware units for this gateway. To do this, highlight the respective hardware units and move them to the Assigned area. You can assign a maximum of 12 hardware units to one gateway. Hardware Only the same hardware unit types can be added to one gateway. That means either Softing PROFIBUS Interfaces or TH LINK PROFIBUS/xEPI 2 units. Click OK to confirm and the gateway is displayed in the Configured Hardware area. Assigned masters are displayed for the selected gateway. To change the gateway, select it and click Modify. The gateway name as well as the assigned masters can be modified. To delete a gateway, select it and click Remove. All masters assigned to the respective gateway are moved to the Unconfigured Hardware area. Further details on this are included in section 6.0 Addition, Modification and Deletion of Gateways. Click OK to apply the configuration. The configured hardware is displayed in the Hardware Configuration dialog. The newly added masters now have to be parameterized and activated Class 2 Master Parameterization Selecting the required master displays the current parameters. Modify these according to your requirements and confirm your changes by clicking Apply.
20 Setup Application Note a Masters Only masters with activated checkboxes are active bus stations. For deactivated masters, bus parameters are saved, but the master is not active on the bus. They can be activated at a later time. Figure 12: Hardware Configuration Activated You can choose between three default profiles: DP, Universal (FDL/FMS) and User defined. We recommend that you use the DP profile. Figure 13: Default Profiles Activated
Application Note a Setup 21 DP Profile In this profile, you can exclusively modify the HSA value. Universal Profile (FDL/FMS) In this profile also, only the HSA value can be modified. Baud rates kbit/s, 3 MBit/s, 6 MBit/s, and 12 MBit/s are not supported in this profile. User-Defined Profile In this profile, you can modify other bus parameters. Click the respective description field and enter your settings. To check the entered bus parameters, you can use the Bus Parameter Test. In case of errors, the incorrect values are marked with an exclamation mark. Attention We strongly recommend that you use these standard profiles on all masters in the PROFIBUS network. Manual bus parameter setting requires thorough PROFIBUS knowledge Masters can be in one of the following states. Table 5: Description of the PROFIBUS Master States Status Activated Explanation Activated status means that the master is completely configured and parameterized. This master can be used in the AMS Device Manager. Deactivated Invalid Deactivated status means that the master is completely configured and needs to be parameterized and activated. However, this master cannot be used in the AMS Device Manager. Invalid status means a master has been added manually by entering its host name, but the IP address cannot be identified by the host name. Masters in the Invalid state cannot be parameterized. When all masters are parameterized, click the Close button to close the hardware configuration tool. Settings are applied the next time the AMS Device Manager is launched. 6.3 AMS Device Manager Network Configuration To use HART Over PROFIBUS with AMS Device Manager, your PROFIBUS network needs to be set up in the AMS Device Manager Network Configuration.
