2 Set Up Qtronix Programmer - Present Unit Turn the power on Plug the Qtronix Programming Pad into the charger / programming socket located on the front of the joystick or USCM. (If plugged in with power off, it will read no connection as a reminder) Changing Performance Parameters: Use the or key to to find the menu item you wish to adjust, then press Enter. The current value will be displayed Use the or key to change the setting of the selected function. Press Enter to select the value displayed. It will show the setting you picked and tell you the controller has been set. If you are changing a speed setting the programmer will first ask you to set the Maximum speed. This will be the setting when the speed dial is turned fully clockwise or speed 7 on the USCM. After hitting Enter it will then ask for a Minimum speed. This will be the speed when the speed dial is turned fully counter-clockwise or speed 1 on the USCM. When both speeds are set the control pad will indicate this. New Program Test This programmer will allow user to drive without being unplugged for quicker modifications and testing of newly chosen parameters.

3 Qtronix Programming Functions DRIVE PROFILE PARAMETERS Acceleration Deceleration Turn Acceleration Turn Deceleration How quickly the chair reaches the selected speed up to the maximum. Varies from 0 (or factory set min) to 100 ( or factory set max) in 1% increments How quickly the chair comes to a stop from forward or reverse directions. Varies from 0 (or factory set min) to 100 ( or factory set max) in 1% increments How quickly the chair reaches maximum turning speed or how quickly the chair responds to a turn command. This parameter is extremely important as to how sensitive the chair is to input device movements or how easy it is for the user to control the chair Varies from 0 (or factory set min) to 100 ( or factory set max) in 1% increments How quickly the chair comes to a stop from a turn. Also very important in the control of the chair. Varies from 0 (or factory set min) to 100 ( or factory set max) in 1% increments NOTE: The parameter of sensitivity offered by some manufacturers is the same as turning acceleration and turning deceleration combined. Quickie offers 2 separate programmable parameters instead of one, for additional fine tuning and control. Adjusting the 3 parameters of turning accel, turning decel and turning speed can make the chair much easier to control for clients with tremors, spasticity and/or limited hand control

Forward Speed Reverse Speed Turning Speed Power Reduction Preset Back to Root The maximum and minimum speeds allowed in the forward direction. This sets the range for the speed dial on the joystick (minimum speed when the dial is turned all the way counterclockwise; maximum speed when the dial is turned all the way clockwise) or speeds 1 7 on the USCM. Varies from 0 (or factory set min) to 100 (or factory set max) in 1% increments The maximum and minimum speeds allowed in the reverse direction. This sets the range for the speed dial on the joystick (minimum speed when the dial is turned all the way counterclockwise; maximum speed when the dial is turned all the way clockwise) or speeds 1 7 on the USCM. Varies from 0 (or factory set min) to 100 (or factory set max) in 1% increments The maximum and minimum speeds allowed when turning. This sets the range for the speed dial on the joystick (minimum speed when the dial is turned all the way counterclockwise; maximum speed when the dial is turned all the way clockwise) or speeds 1 7 on the USCM.. Varies from 0 (or factory set min) to 100 (or factory set max) in 1% increments Can reduce the amount of power available in any given drive profile Adjustable from %; can be set independently for all 5 drive profiles Returns all settings within that drive profile to factory settings Push enter to return to the top of that drive profile

Varies from 0 (or factory set min) to 100 (or factory set max) in 5% increments Tremor Dampening The maximum and minimum Tremor Setting available in all directions. Varies from 0 (or factory set min) to 100 (or factory set max) in 5% increments Note: A control Serial number B410 or Higher Necessary for New functions to work!

GLOBAL SETTINGS Sleep Timer Joystick Throw Steer Correct Period of time before the system will automatically go to sleep or shut off if no command is given to the input device. 1 to 10 minutes in 1 minute intervals Allows adjustment of the range through which the user must push the input device (joystick) in order to achieve maximum speed, etc. All 4 directions (fwd, rev, right, left) can be programmed separately to tailor to the user s capabilities. Can adjust manually by using the up/down arrows on the programming pad or can ask the user to push the joystick in each direction and push Enter at his/her maximum range. Settings range from 25% to 100% in 1% Steps Slows or speeds up the right motor to compensate for a chair that consistently veers to one side. This is used for motor speed compensation from the factory or when a replacement motor is added. Also could be used if the chair has significant weight on one side of the chair from additional mounted equipment. If required setting is > 2 in either direction, look for another root cause of the veer Settings range from -9 to 0 to +9 Read Timer Acts like an odometer. Displays how many hours the wheelchair has been used.

7 Qtronix Programming Functions (Cont.) GLOBAL SETTINGS (cont.) Read Fault Log Preset Unit Displays fault code history in order of occurrence from most recent. Also displays number of times that fault has occurred. Sets all parameters back to factory preset values. Profiles Allows temporary elimination of drive profiles 2-5 (can eliminate as many as desired) for training purposes, pediatrics or users with cognitive issues. For example, if 3 is entered the user will have access to drive profiles 1,2,and while 4 and 5 will remain dark until programmed Switch Bleep Additional Programming Functions Allows operator to chose on or off of function Bleep Volume Allows variance of volume from 1 to 10. [increments of 1] Speed/ Profile Incr Actuators & LEDs Increases the maximum speed setting or, if the control system is programmed for drive profile operation, selects a higher drive profile. With one actuator control - depressing either actuator button will enter actuator adjustment mode. This will be indicated by the illumination of both actuator LED s. Actuator adjustment can be made by deflecting the joystick Forward or Reverse. To re-enter drive mode press either actuator button.
