18 Consistency groups Adding a volume to a mirrored consistency group Simplified method of adding a volume to an existing cg Volume RPO is changed to match CG RPO Allowing overwrite of snap For consistent DR testing Uses modification to mirror_create_snapshot Reminder: Overwrite option copies the current content of the volume into one of the existing snapshot The overwritten snapshot keeps the same SCSI device WWN and same mapping, so hosts maintain a continuous mapping to the snapshot, without any need for a rescan or similar operation 18

23 How Storage Utility Offering Works Base Subscription The customer commits to monthly $/TB/Month base subscription. Typically at 30-40% system capacity. Handled via 36 month lease with IBM Global Financing* *3 rd party if not available via IGF Variable Utilized Capacity Billed quarterly at a $/TB/month rate, per TB used over the base subscription. Variable utilized capacity can increase or decrease monthly. Usage Monitoring Customers deploy IBM Storage Insights to monitor capacity usage for systems under this program.
