The existing safety combinations have been expanded in line with the requirements in practice and with a high degree of user-friendliness with this series of innovative electronic safety combinations. These devices distinguish themselves as they have no wearing parts or components and are also able to switch large loads. Faults when they occur can be quickly tracked down using the integrated diagnostic and monitoring functions. 4 The family of SIGUARD safety combinations: The optimum solution for every task Safety relay combinations: Enhanced safety thanks to positively driven contacts When it comes to space-saving switching devices, our SIGUARD safety relay combinations fully reflect market trends. However, not only are they small, but they are great performers. This is because they have a new contact arrangement corresponding to the ZH1/457 Standard that allows them to switch with intrinsic safety. NC and NO contacts are positively driven in pairs. This means that if one of the contacts welds, then the other contact interrupts the circuit. A positively driven NC contact detects the faulted NO contact. This means that the safety relay would also drop out if all of the contacts of the circuit to be protected were to weld. 5 Electronic safety combinations with auxiliary contactors: The complete device 3 in 1 Up until now, isolated and safe switching always represented additional costs. External switching devices had to be subsequently mounted/installed and connected up. That not only cost time and money, but represented a source of potential faults. That was the situation because today we are offering our electronic safety functionality and two redundant SIRIUS auxiliary contactors, with contacts, in a preassembled, wired and tested device that is certified. This electronic safety combination is snapped as a complete device onto a mounting rail. Straightforward, safe and fast. A circuit-breaker is combined with two contactors connected in series to create a complete, fuseless, pre-assembled, pre-wired, tested and certified safe load feeder. These load feeders fulfill Category, 3 or 4 according to EN or SIL 3 according to IEC This saves times as well as costs and minimizes potential fault sources. Load feeders with fuses can also be used. Faults can be quickly traced thus improving the availability of the machine or plant thanks to the integrated diagnostic and monitoring systems. Load feeders especially distinguish themselves as a result of the high switching power of the motor contactors, which, in addition to the AC-3 switching capacity of.5 A, can also switch a DC-1 current up to 35 A. Further, load feeders permit operational switching, they can be expanded and cascaded. For small processing machines and equipment with only one motor, the load feeder combines the functions of the motor starter and EMERGENCY OFF circuit. The motor is reliably protected against overload and short circuits thanks to the circuit-breaker. Several load feeders can be connected together in a group circuit.
