13 Share of RES and future goals Electricity can easily be bought so it only comes from renewable sources (reliable certification and options for PPA) thus creating green and environmentally friendly data centres. By 2035 (by 2020 app 80%) all electricity is planned to be generated from renewable sources such as: Wind power Solar Biomass Hydro (via NordPool)

14 The integrated energy system allows for environmentally friendly use of waste heat Heating of buildings in Denmark relies heavily on district heating, mainly from CHP plants. 62 % of Danish households are heated by district heating. Heat from data centres and other types of waste heat can be used for district heating. Three major advantages: 1. Use waste heat and conserve the planets natural resources 2. Reduce carbon emissions from coal and gas fired CHPs 3. Increase overall energy efficiency
