2 European Union Location Framework What is it? a framework of guidance and actions to location-enable e-government in different sectors and across borders, building on INSPIRE...based on a number of focus areas: An initial framework is being developed through an EULF project, run by the JRC, which is part of the DIGIT led Interoperability Solutions for Public Administrations (ISA) Programme Link: 18/08/2014 2

11 Overall goals for the Transportation Pilot 1. Verification of the TN-ITS Specification so it may be brought into the formal standardisation process. This may include the mapping of TN-ITS elements to the extension of the INSPIRE Transport Network data specification. 2. Verification of the principle of integrating ITS spatial data with map provider data by extending the INSPIRE Transport Network data specification. 3. Validation of aspects of the EULF Blueprint. The pilot should demonstrate that working in a more integrated way improves interoperability and benefits should become more visible and measurable. 18 August

13 JRC Participation in the TN-ITS Deployment Platform EULF has connected in with the TN-ITS working groups: WG 1 Location Referencing* WG 2 Specifications and standardization* WG 3 Implementation support WG 4 Tools and reference implementation WG 5 Policy, Awareness and dissemination* eulf *EULF is actively engaging with these working groups and collaborating on requirements to make road, traffic and transport services data used for digital maps accurate and available, where possible, to digital map producers and service providers.
