8 2008 Major Accomplishments The Area Interchange Error (AIE) Monitoring and Visualization Tool was delivered to NERC. Their Board of Trustees Technology Committee approved AIE as a NERC critical mission application. NERC is directly supporting it and is integrated with NERC budget Research for Wide-Area Real Time Monitoring Dashboards to: alert abnormalities, trace reliability performance, and evaluate reliability states (Situational Awareness). Completed and the prototype visuals and alarms were delivered to NERC Resources Subcommittee and Reliability Coordinators. It is under Field Test by NERC The Interconnections Frequency Monitoring and Analysis (FMA) Tool for event analysis and using SCADA and Phasor data was delivered to NERC for Field Trial. Integration of Virginia Tech Phasor Data Measurements to improve data quality and wide-area visibility is Plan for FY09 Page 7
