9 Why Should a Small Company Use the DISC? 9 We have very limited resources, so why should we spend time & money bringing our project into the DISC? Access to capability Cost effective access to state of the art software and equipment that is often beyond the capital budget of small organisations Access to software, equipment and capability under one roof, encouraging fast turnaround of concepts and ideas into tangible results Connection to the Satellite Applications Catapult network Single point of access to all other Catapult centres, e.g. HVM Access to non-space sector market of current and future space system users Collaboration with the SAC via the DISC to explore and exploit opportunities Collaborative and Innovative Ecosystem An opportunity to collaborate and work with larger organisations in a secure neutral environment An opportunity to meet with and explore opportunities with similar small and agile companies and academia inside and outside of the space sector Access to skills A facility running a sponsored apprentice scheme with resident academic research teams with potential for recruitment
