5 1 SAP Data Hub as additional target for SAP LT REPLICATION SERVER SAP LT Replication Server is now able to write data out of SAP systems directly into SAP Data Hub. 6 2 "SLT SDK" Instead of using the predefined SAP LT Replication Server targets, it is now possible to implement a BAdI for writing data to the target. SAP LT Replication Server will make use of the trigger-based change data capture mechanism and supply the data to the custom logic. See note SAP. All rights reserved. "SLT SDK"

7 3 NULL Value Replication The replication of null values (the option Replicate NULL Values) is only supported if the source system is a non- ABAP system and the target system is an SAP HANA database. You can use option Replicate Null Values when creating a configuration or assigning a template to a configuration. For a template (transaction LTRS, menu Goto -> Template Maintenance), under General Table Settings you specify the relevant option under Replicate NULL Values. Note that the option specified in the template has the higher priority. Similarly, in transaction LTRS (Advanced Replication Settings) under Table Settings, you can decide how to replicate null values for a specific source table. This setting will overwrite the configuration-specific settings for this table. The replication of null values is only possible if the table has nullable fields (fields capable of containing null values). In transaction LTRS (Advanced Replication Settings) under Performance Options, two additional operators ( Is Null and Is Not Null ) are added for nullable fields in filter/filter condition in case the option Replicate NULL Values is used. For the option Replicate NULL Values, only event-based rules are supported for nullable fields (fields capable of containing null values). When switching between the normal SAP LT Replication Server replication scenario and the option Replicate NULL Values, then the following considerations apply: The refresh behavior must be set to Drop, and the relevant LTRS settings must be updated. If any field names contain an ABAP-reserved key word (you can find a list of the ABAP-reserved key words in table TRESE), any field-related settings for this field (for example performance options, mapping values, or table structure deviations) need to be reset for this field. If an event-based rule that uses an include program that refers to nullable fields, then the include program needs to be updated. If any field-based rules are assigned to nullable fields, they must be removed. Additional Considerations If a source table does not have a key field but has only a unique index (constraint), and some fields in the constraint are nullable, start replication/load/recording of table will be blocked in Data Provisioning of transaction LTRC when the option Replicate NULL Values is activated. For the option Replicate NULL Values, if a source table has nullable key fields (key fields capable of containing null values), start replication/load/recording of this table will be blocked in Data Provisioning of transaction LTRC when the option Replicate NULL Values is activated. For the option Replicate NULL Values, field (except for key fields) names that contain an ABAP reserved keyword or special characters such or # are supported. In transaction LTRS (Advanced Replication Settings), on the Table Structure tab of Table Settings a new column Null Values is added. This column is only visible when both the source system and the target system are connected to the SAP LT Replication Server system by means of a database connection. NULL Value Replication 2018 SAP. 9 4 Removed SAP LT REPLICATION SERVER Master Job In order to improve overall performance and reduce resource consumption by SLT, the SLT Master Job /1LT/IUC_REPL_MSTR has been removed. Logic which happened in the Master Job has been moved to the following jobs /1LT/IUC_REP_CNTR_<MTID> Master Controller Job /1LT/IUC_HOUSKPNG Housekeeping Job /1LT/IUC_HEALTH_C Health Check Job Overall, tables will switch from scheduled" to following state much faster, especially if many configurations are present in the system. 10 5 Handling of DD0* tables Newly created configurations to an SAP HANA target will no longer automatically start the replication of tables DD02L, DD02T and DD08L. If you still want to make use of the SAP HANA Studio Data Provisioning UI, you need to manually add the tables to replication SAP. All rights reserved. Handling of DD0* tables

11 6 Multiple 1:1 configurations For test system landscapes it is now possible to create a 1:1 configuration in addition to a 1:N / 1:1 configuration by setting parameter MULTI_1_1 in table IUUC_RT_PARAMS to X. Consequently, there will be an additional logging table and set of triggers created. It is not recommended to use this setup inside a productive landscape due to the trade-off of worse performance and additional triggers and a logging table. 13 8 SAP LT REPLICATION SERVER Note Analyzer The Note Analyzer (report DMC_NOTE_ANALYZER) checks whether all necessary DMIS SAP Notes are installed. According to the appropriate central SAP Note, it identifies the latest versions of all the relevant SAP Notes and lists those notes, that are missing. In a second step the Note Analyzer may also be used to automatically install all the missing nodes.
