1 xpression v4.0 Operating Requirements xpression operating requirements are updated as required, so this document may become outdated. Please find the most recent version of this document on Powerlink. To view interoperability requirements for EMC Document Sciences products on Powerlink: 1. Open the Powerlink Home page (powerlink.emc.com). 2. Type the following text into the Search Powerlink box: xpression Operating Requirements 3. The search will return a list of documents. Choose the Operating Requirements document for your version of xpression. Enterprise Edition Server Hardware requirements depend on your expected processing requirements. Refer to the Server Configurations chapter of xpression Enterprise Edition System Overview for guidelines, options, and recommendations. Document Sciences Professional Services also offers consulting services to assist in determining your ideal server configuration. 64-bit Support For the xpression Server, EMC Document Sciences strongly recommends using 64-bit application servers instead of 32-bit servers. 64-bit application servers are supported for all platforms unless noted below. Requires Documentum DFC. Be aware that Documentum DFC 6.5SP2 is not supported on JBoss 5.0.1, but xpression Enterprise Edition does support that version of JBoss. See xpression Server details above. Be aware that Documentum supports Windows Vista Enterprise SP1, but Windows Vista Business Edition SP1 is not supported by xpression. Documentum 6.5 DFC supports 64-bit JDKs. xpression Server can connect to Documentum with a 64-bit JDK only when using Documentum 6.5 DFC.
