10 How to Use Latex? (in command line) 1. Type the document tinside id a text teditor, eg, Notepad 2. Save the file with.tex extension, eg, tex1.tex OPTION 1 3. Compile the.tex file with latex.exe C:\myFiles>latex tex1 file tex1.dvi dvi is created 4. Convert the generated.dvi file to a PostScript (PS) format file with dvips.exe C:\myFiles>dvips tex1 file tex1.ps is created OPTION 2 1. Compile the file with pdflatex.exe C:\myFiles>pdflatex tex1 file tex1.pdf is created 10 Latex Introduction
